Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marriage is allegedly on the rocks in 2024. The couple rekindled their romance in 2021 and tied the knot in 2022. However, several sources allege they’re headed for divorce. While Affleck and Lopez are having difficulties in their marriage, another source suggests Lopez doesn’t get along with Affleck’s best friend’s wife.
Matt Damon and Ben Affleck grew up down the street from each other and became friends as children. They helped each other in their acting careers, cementing their lifelong friendship when Affleck helped Damon in a fight at school.
Damon has been married to Luciana Barroso since 2005, and they have four kids together. A source explained to Life & Style that Damon met Barroso in 2004, “the same year” Lopez and Affleck broke up the first time. Barroso grew to know Affleck well until he reconciled with Lopez in 2021. Unfortunately, the source added that Barroso “grates on Jennifer’s nerves.”
“Lucy thinks she’s better than her,” the insider added.
According to the source, Damon and Affleck have been working hard to get Lopez and Barroso to a friendly place. “It never goes well,” the insider said. “Ben and Matt think it would be great if the four of them could jet to Mexico for a weekend. The guys can’t force them, but they’re getting awfully tired of this.”

Rumors suggest that Jennifer Lopez wants nothing to do with Matt Damon’s wife, Luciana Barroso. However, Lopez joined Damon and Barroso on a lunch date in New York City in April 2024. People reports the three stars were seen outside of Sadelle’s in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood.
Ben Affleck did not join Lopez. This shouldn’t surprise fans, given the recent reports suggesting that Lopez and Affleck spend more time apart and live in separate homes.
Damon showed his support for Lopez and Affleck in 2021. “I’m just so happy for him,” Damon told Extra while promoting Stillwater. “He’s the best. He deserves every happiness in the world. I’m glad for both of them.”
However, another source told OK! Magazine that Damon has “serious reservations” about his best friend’s wife. “He’s tried to be publicly supportive for Ben’s sake, but the fact is, he hates the way J.Lo treats his buddy and can no longer hold his tongue!” the insider stated.

A source told Us Weekly that Affleck “doesn’t agree with Jennifer’s lifestyle,” as she’s always busy with work commitments. “He’s been checked out,” the insider continued, adding that they are on “two completely different pages most of the time. The honeymoon phase has worn off.”
Another source said that the couple failed to communicate effectively. “Over time, Jennifer and Ben found it increasingly difficult to communicate effectively, and small misunderstandings grew into significant arguments,” they claimed.
