The Texas-born actor had his breakout role in 1993’s Dazed and Confused, and his career has been on fire ever since. After supporting roles in several other films like A Time to Kill and Amistad, McConaughey gained attention as People’s “Sexiest Man Alive.”
As Biography reports, he is the recipient of several awards including the Academy Award for Best Actor, a Golden Globe, and a Critics’ Choice Movie Award. In the early 2000s, McConaughey is a king of romantic comedies, starring alongside Jennifer Lopez in 2001’s The Wedding Planner and Kate Hudson in the 2003 hit, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.
The now-52-year-old and Hudson hit the big screen again five years later with Fool’s Gold. Since then, fans have enjoyed his unique performances in films like The Wolf of Wall Street, Gold, and The Dark Tower, to name a few. McConaughey has more than proved his talents. Now, he’s cementing his place in Hollywood with voice-over work and several production endeavors.

McConaughey and Witherspoon are all set to star together in the upcoming animated film, Sing 2. They recently sat down together with talk-show legend Ellen DeGeneres to play a game that revealed the biggest of secrets. E! Online reports that the duo participated in a rapid-fire question-and-answer game.
McConaughey and Witherspoon revealed their first celebrity crushes and left viewers shocked and delighted with what unfolded. The Legally Blonde star told everyone that her childhood crush was on Jim Morrison from The Doors. She hilariously added, “I was a weird kid.” The actor went on to say, “The Doors movie had just come out, and I was maybe 14. I was like, ‘Oh, he’s so hot.’ So I guess it was Val Kilmer [as Jim Morrison].”
As for McConaughey? The father of three admitted, “I did have a little bit of a crush on the young lady sitting to the left of me from Man in the Moon.” Obviously, Witherspoon had no prior knowledge of this, as her reaction was pretty adorable. After her jaw dropped, she asked, “What?” then shouted, “Somebody write this down!”

Although the actor had a crush on Witherspoon, the two of them never dated or were romantically linked. They may have been friends for years, but according to Hollywood Life, McConaughey has been in relationships with other high-profile women.
