A first look at ‘Mayans MC’ season 4 teases the return of the ‘Sons of Anarchy’ crew
FX recently dropped a Mayans MC season 4 teaser trailer that indicates the Mayans will soon face off against Sons of Anarchy’s SAMCRO. In the clip, a cover of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs Off with Their Heads plays in the background, as men from both sides angrily defend their families on the battlefield.
EZ (JD Pardo) and Angel Reyes (Clayton Cardenas) are leading the Mayans, as their loyal brothers Gilly (Vincent “Rocco” Vargas), Hank (Frankie Loyal), and Creeper (Joseph Lucero) fight alongside them.
On the other, the crew from Sons of Anarchy is seen with vague imagery that has sparked fan speculation. One shadow indicates that Happy (David LaBrava) is involved in the action. Another Charming SAMCRO member looks a lot like Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) from the back. But most likely, it’s Rane Quinn (Rusty Coones).
When does season 4 of the ‘Sons of Anarchy’ spinoff premiere?
Mayans MC season 4 — from co-creator and showrunner Elgin James — has a premiere date of April 19 on FX. Each week throughout the season, the new episodes will be available for streaming on Hulu the day after they air.
The season will begin with two back-to-back episodes airing on the same night. And season 4 will feature 10 episodes in total.
Most of the main cast is expected to return for the new season, including Pardo, Cardenas, and Edward James Olmos as their father, Felipe. With Gaby (Sulem Calderon) leaving EZ in the season 3 finale to attend nursing school, it’s not clear if Calderon will be back for season 4.
Michael Irby will return as Mayans president Obispo “Bishop” Losa, and Raoul Max Trujillo is back as Mayans VP Che “Taza” Romero.
Fans will also see Frankie Loyal as Mayans’ sergeant-at-arms Hank “Tranq” Loza, Richard Cabral as Johnny “Coco” Cruz, Emilio Rivera as Marcus Alvarez, Carla Baratta as Adelita, Danny Pino as Galindo cartel heir Miguel Galindo, and and Sarah Bolger as EZ’s childhood sweetheart and current Galindo associate Emily Thomas.

The season 4 teaser of Mayans MC gives fans a few hints about what’s coming next for EZ and his family. Per Looper, the season 4 description reveals that the Mayans will face retaliation from other chapters.
“Once the golden boy with the American Dream in his grasp, EZ, his brother Angel, and the rest of the Santo Padre M.C. face retaliation from other chapters after a failed attempt to align under one King. Meanwhile, EZ and Angel have grown distant from their father Felipe after a heart-wrenching betrayal.”
All seven seasons of Sons of Anarchy are available on Hulu. Season 4 of Mayans MC premieres April 19 on FX.
