What’s known about ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’
In the closing moments of Avengers: Endgame, Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, passed his shield to Falcon. The Marvel Comics storyline shows Falcon becoming the new Captain America. Captain America left big shoes for Sam to fill when the Cap passed him the shield. The new show will explore how Sam and Bucky adapt to life without the original Captain America. Sam may not even want to be the next Captain America.
Though Mackie will become the latest Captain America, it appears that there may be more than one Cap in the upcoming original series. Stan recently stated that there is tension between Winter Soldier and Falcon in the new show and that the characters are not exactly friends. Fans will have to wait for the series to debut to find out how it all plays out.
Anthony Mackie wanted Sebastian Stan to leave NYC
The current pandemic has caused many changes, including shutdowns, and social distancing. Many wealthy people chose to vacate areas that were severely affected by coronavirus (COVID-19), including New York City. In a recent interview with Fatherly, Mackie revealed that he encouraged Stan to leave NYC and join him where he was, due to the significant outbreak in the area. Mackie told Stan, “Dude, come to New Orleans,” however, Stan ultimately decided to stay in NYC.
In the same interview with Fatherly, Mackie divulged that he and Stan frequently talk and share photos and videos. Even though the two men do not portray close friends in the MCU, it is clear that they are truly friends in real life and look out for each other.
Stan and Mackie both have impressive film histories independently; however, the duo has been successfully working together in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2014. Though the pair aren’t exactly best buds on screen, they are great friends in real life.
