There’s a new set of queens sashaying into the RuPaul’s Drag Race Werk Room. Until its premiere on New Years Day, here’s what we know about the 13 contestants trying to snatch the crown.

Denali

She grew up in Alaska and eventually became a professional ice skater. Now, she’s taking the Chicago drag scene by storm, while still celebrating her Mexican heritage. For this competition, she’s ready to blend her traditional showgirl moves “with a progressive visual aesthetic.”

Elliott with 2 Ts

From working as a professional dancer on stage and a cruise line to being one of the contestants on RuPaul’s Drag Race, this queen is always ready to put on a show. She loves performing, Las Vegas, and Britney Spears.

Gottmik

She’s not “Got Milk.” She’s Gottmik, a queen with a flawless mug and a long list of celebrity clients. She’s a “beauty expert who painted the faces of Heidi Klum, Paris Hilton, Tinashe, Cindy Crawford, and Gigi Gorgeous.” Now, she’s ready to snatch the crown.

Joey Jay

Sasha Velour might’ve showcased her bald head, but for Joey Jay, a Phoenix-based performer, her form of drag includes blurring the lines between masculinity and femininity, even showcasing her real hair in her promotional look for the series.

Kahmora Hall

This performer comes from a pretty legendary house, acting as the drag mother of season 11’s Soju and the drag sister of the season 12 winner, Jaida Essence Hall. Known as The Mackie Doll, Kahmora Hall is ready to bring you all the glamor of old-school Hollywood.

Kandy Muse

She’s from New York and she’s sitting alone in the V.I.P. Kandy Muse comes from another legendary house — the now-rebranded Haus of Aja, complete with former contestants Aja and Dahlia Sin.

Lala Ri

She’s ready to give you the “Lala Ri Experience.” With professional training in ballet, hip-hop, jazz, and experience as a background dancer for international pop acts, she can dance the house down.

Olivia Lux

This Brooklyn-based performer can turn rags into riches — literally. She can sing and play piano, but she’s also a pageant queen. She’s transformed an Ikea bag into a look and even considers some of her performances to be political.

Rosé

This drag performer can make people laugh, but she’s also a singer. As a friend of the former Drag Race contestant Jan, this queen performs as part of the musical trio Stephanie’s Child, one of the groups that auditioned for America’s Got Talent.

Symone

This drag performer is friends with Gigi Goode but like the former Drag Race finalist, there’s more to her than just a pretty face. Symone, the Los Angeles-based performer, is full of high energy and even goofy performances.

Tamisha Iman

This drag legend has a house of 78 chosen kids and even a few kids of her own flesh and blood. As a result, Tamisha Iman helped transform the Atlanta and greater Georgian drag scene, one misfit at a time.

Tina Burner

She’s a politically active comedy queen and after auditioning several times, she made it to this competition series. This New York City based performer will do anything to make people smile, even while attending a Celine Dion concert.
