Megan Fox is now the proud mother of three children, who she shares with her ex-husband Brian Austin Green. Although she’s expressed how difficult it can be raising kids, especially when in a highly publicized relationship with Machine Gun Kelly, Fox has often commented how having children has actually benefited her life.

But there was a moment in time, particularly during Fox’s pregnancy, where she found giving birth so rough she likened it to being in Kristen Stewart’s Twilight series. It made her wonder what, exactly, she was giving birth to.

Megan Fox has been open about how motherhood saved her and gave her a sense of direction in life. It was important in dealing with, what she believes, is Hollywood’s misogynistic attitude towards her. She revealed in an interview with Yahoo some of the biases she’s had to face in her long career.

“I’m going through some stuff right now where perceptions are still very misogynistic and sexist and one-sided,” Fox once said. “For whatever reason, people are very trigger happy to call me stupid or call me vain or call me a slut, which is crazy. I was in the same relationship for 15 years, you know?”

Before becoming a mom, Fox admitted to being a bit directionless in Hollywood’s landscape. According to People, she felt, “so lost and trying to understand how am I supposed to feel value or find purpose in this horrendous, patriarchal, misogynistic hell that was Hollywood at the time?”

The Jennifer’s Body actor recalled a common misconception of her being shallow. But People reported having her kids changed all that.

“That kind of saved me honestly,” she said of her pregnancy. “I needed an escape.”

Fox’s pregnancy helped the actor develop in a way that she couldn’t without her children.

“It’s fertile soil,” she said. “It’s given me the ground that I needed to grow into something quite special.”

But the process of giving birth was a rough one for Fox, who compared her initial pregnancy to Bella Swan’s in Twilight.

Who’s Older, Machine Gun Kelly or Megan Fox?

Megan Fox initially had a tough time giving birth. Her first child, Noah, was giving Fox intense physical symptoms at the peak of her pregnancy. At one point, Fox admitted she wasn’t even sure she was giving birth to a human being.

“I had pretty bad morning sickness,” Fox once said according to Today. “It was so bad for me, actually, I was convinced that I was, like, maybe birthing a vampire baby like the one from Twilight.”

Fox went on to elaborate how her pregnancy had her relating to Kristen Stewart’s Twilight character, Bella Swan.

“You know what happens to Bella, where she’s in cold sweats all the time? I felt like that was happening because I had no vitamins and nutrients, and I was just nauseous.”

Fortunately, the rest of the pregnancy went easier on Fox, which she described as, “Perfect.”

How a casual encounter between Robert Pattinson and Megan Fox led to dating rumors

This isn’t the first time Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green’s relationship was on the rocks. Rumors were running rampant that Green, who was 30 at the time, ended his engagement with Megan Fox. When asked about the rumors, Fox wouldn’t confirm or deny, but asserted that she didn’t want to discuss her relationship.

“I do not want to comment on my relationship, period,” she said according to Today. “It’s private. It doesn’t belong to the world. It’s mine. It’s Brian’s.”

Fox then addressed rumors that she had a brief stint with Pattinson. Unlike with her relationship with Green, Fox was quick to shut down speculation.

“I just randomly asked someone for a light and it was him. That was the extent of our ‘relationship,’” Fox said.

However, she would also reveal that she felt dating the likes of Pattinson and Zac Efron would be a waste of time. Not only were they a bit too good-looking for her, but at the time Fox preferred much older men.

“He and Zac— they’re just too pretty with the big hair and the suits. And Rob is, what, 22? Zac is 21? That’s a joke,” Megan said. “Boys in their twenties are a waste of time. They have nothing to offer conversationally; they’re immature. I feel like I have a better shot with someone in his thirties.”

It seems that as she’s matured, her stance on dating older men has shifted somewhat, as both Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly are very close in age.
