Though the legendary entertainer keeps her private life as close to her chest as possible, everyone who crosses her path gushes over how kind and lovely she is to others. As someone with over 20 years in the industry, she is beloved by people just getting their start in the industry including rapper, Megan Thee Stallion.
Both Houston natives, fans were thrilled when Beyoncé hopped on Megan’s iconic “Savage” song for the “Savage (Remix).” The chart-topping song was super special to both of the women because a portion of the proceeds went toward helping those in their hometown of Houston amid the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
However, it turns out that Megan and Beyoncé have much more than a working relationship.

For New Year’s Eve, Megan posted a stunning photo of herself awaiting the countdown with Beyoncé and Blue Ivy Carter. It turns out that was the first time she’s ever crossed paths with the Black Is King icon. Megan had been invited to Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s New Year’s Eve soiree and the Destiny’s Child alum approached her there.
“In the first five minutes of the conversation, I felt like I’ve been knowing her all my life,” Megan told Variety.
From that initial meeting, it looks like the idea for a collaboration was born. Since the “Savage (Remix)” was so thrilling, we expect that we will see more music from these ladies again in the future. “It’s really crazy ’cause, like, my mama was a really huge fan of Beyoncé, and she used to make me watch a lot of Beyoncé’s stuff,” Megan told her fans on Instagram Live when the song dropped.

Megan is very new to the industry. In fact, she’s in the midst of a very public spat tight her music label 1501 Entertainment for exploiting her. Megan, the whose given name is Megan Pete claims that at her age “not only entirely unconscionable but ridiculously so, putting the label in a position to literally do nothing, while at the same time taking for themselves the vast majority of Pete’s income from all sources,” according to Rolling Stone.
The lawsuit came after Megan signed with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation for her management and they asked to look at her contract. It appears that since Megan is so new in the industry and she’s recently lost her mother and grandmother, Jay-Z and Beyoncé have taken her under their wing. “Beyoncé treated me like family, and now I feel like I am family,” Megan explained. “We talk all the time.”

Recently Megan was the victim of a horrific incident involving fellow rapper, Tory Lanez where the Suga lyrist was shot multiple times in both of her feet. Though few details of the incident have leaked, Megan has said, “I suffered gunshot wounds as a result of a crime that was committed against me with the intention to physically harm me.”
Beyoncé, along with Lizzo and Rihanna was one of the women to reach out to Megan following the traumatic incident. She sent a gorgeous bouquet of flowers and a note that read, “Queen, sending you all my love. God bless, Beyoncé.”
