Rapper Megan Thee Stallion took a break from her “Hot Girl Summer” tour to headline presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris’ star-studded Atlanta campaign rally on Tuesday night.

The three-time Grammy winner took the stage at the Georgia State Convocation Center on July 30, hyping up the crowd of roughly 10,000 people before the vice president’s speech. Other speakers and performers at the massive event in the battleground state included Migos frontman Quavo, Senators Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, and Stacey Abrams.

“The path to the White House runs right through this state,” Harris said in her speech. “You all helped us in 2020 and we’re going to do it again in 2024.”

“I want to start off by saying: Hotties for Harris,” Megan Thee Stallion said as she took the stage. People in the crowd also held up signs reading “Hotties for Harris” as she performed.

Megan also noted the historic nature of Harris’ run for the White House.

“We about to make history with the first female president, the first Black female president,” she said.

After President Joe Biden announced on July 22 that he was ending his reelection bid, Harris quickly emerged as the likely Democratic nominee. Her entry into the race has energized Democrats, resulted in record-breaking campaign contributions, and drawn support from stars such as George Clooney, Spike Lee, John Legend, and Jamie Lee Curtis.

In her speech in Atlanta, Harris took aim at her rival, former president Donald Trump, and his allies, criticizing their stances on immigration and abortion rights. She specifically called out Trump’s efforts to kill a bipartisan border security bill earlier this year.

“Donald Trump has been talking a big game about securing the border, but he does not walk the walk – or as my friend Quavo says, he does not walk it like he talks it,” Harris said, referencing a Migos lyric.

The vice president also addressed Trump’s apparent reluctance to commit to a planned debate in September.

“He won’t debate, but he and his running mate sure seem to have a lot to say about me … Well, Donald, I do hope you’ll reconsider to meet me on the debate stage,” she said, “because, as the saying goes, if you got something to say, say it to my face.”
