Video footage of Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez and their interaction with Los Angeles cops hit the internet, leading many to believe both rappers were arrested. In the clip below, it looks like they handcuffed.
TMZ was the first to report that they were at a house party with Kylie Jenner when allegedly, an argument occurred.
Tory Lanez, Megan Thee Stallion, and another person left in an SUV that was supposedly implicated by witnesses as part of the dispute. Police located the vehicle in Hollywood Hills with all three people inside.
Tory Lanez was arrested on the spot while Megan Thee Stallion was said to have an injured foot.
It was widely reported that the “Hot Girl Summer” rapper was bleeding due to broken glass on the floor of the SUV. That was not the case, and it was later revealed police listed her as a victim.

Aware of the media stories circulating about the incident, Megan Thee Stallion posted a lengthy message on her Instagram account on July 15. She explained that police did not arrest her, but instead took her to the hospital for gunshot wounds.
She captioned her post by writing “I was never arrested. This whole experience was an eye opener and a blessing in disguise. I hate that it took this experience for me to learn how to protect my energy.”
In her message, she stated “On Sunday morning, I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me.”
Megan went on to say she had surgery to remove the bullets and she is focused on her recovery. But fans want answers NOW.

Within minutes of the rapper sharing details of what actually happened, fans and other celebrities flocked to social media to express their well wishes. Taraji P. Henson, Halsey, Kehlani, Skai Jackson, and Normani are among those sending prayers and warm thoughts.
Many of Megan Thee Stallion’s fans want to know who was responsible for the shooting. Some are asking about the extent of Tory Lanez’s involvement, with one Instagram thread showing multiple comments such as: “So Did Tory shoot her or was it someone else?”
They are curious about whether he was protecting her or trying to harm her. Others wonder if it was someone else in her circle or old record label circle.
