Meghan Markle Bullying Claims Will ‘Never Go Away’ For 1 Reason, Expert Claims
Meghan Markle has been having a tough time rebuilding her reputation since she and Prince Harry left the royal family back in 2020. Meghan and Harry made their exit from the royal family after difficulties with both the press and Harry’s family members, and they haven’t looked back. If anything, tensions have only risen, and the constant attacks on Meghan’s personality have continued.
Now, one expert believes that Meghan will never be able to escape the bullying accusations against her for one big reason.
Meghan Markle is trying to rid herself of attacks against her reputation
The Duchess of Sussex shot to fame overnight when news broke in 2016 that she had started dating Prince Harry. Ever since, there have been stories about Meghan’s personality that have made it hard for her to be well-liked by the public. It’s hard to know what’s true and what isn’t, and it’s possible that some stories are made up, but that hasn’t stopped the negative fallout.
One expert now thinks that Meghan will never be able to fully shake the bullying allegations because she’s “hit back” at the royal family too many times. “What she [Meghan] has done, in her naivety … She’s propelled the bullying narrative into perpetual motion,” royal journalist Kevin O’Sullivan said on Talk TV, according to Express. “She has hit back so many times; it will now never go away.”
Though, it’s only fair to give Meghan the benefit of the doubt; she did a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey where she was likely more intent on clearing her own name; however, it came across to some that she was intent on attacking the royal family. Her intent was likely the same with the couple’s Netflix special, too. But Meghan did make a snide remark during a recent CBS interview where she said she’s hardly “scraped the surface” of everything she went through with Harry’s family.
Meghan Markle’s reputation is fixable
Though some might disagree, it does seem that there are a few ways Meghan can win back the public. Continuing to focus on her philanthropic work is a big one, which she seems to keep doing. But another big opportunity remains with the royals. Should Meghan rebuild her relationship with Harry’s family, then the other pieces of the reputation puzzle will likely fall back into place.
Right now, Meghan being at odds with Harry’s family are a large part of what’s preventing her from being so well-liked; many people have chosen a side. But should the Sussexes and the royals get back on good terms, it’s possible that it would end the struggle of trying to rebuild her reputation. People want to families to get along, so Meghan and Harry’s relationship with their own relatives could be the key to growing their popularity.
