During the summer of 2016, the duchess was visiting London to do press for her TV series, Suits. Fashion designer Misha Nonoo, a mutual friend of the former actor and Prince Harry’s convinced the pair to meet up on a blind date. They met at the exclusive Soho House’s Dean Street Townhouse.

Though he was late to their very first date, the prince was smitten as soon as he laid eyes on Meghan.  “Harry knew they would be together at that point,” a friend shared. “She was ticking every box fast.”

Meghan had to return to Toronto where Suits was filmed after their second date, but Prince Harry convinced her to go away with him to Botswana for their third date. In fact, the prince was the first one to say, “I love you” just three months into the relationship. A friend revealed in Finding Freedom,

Almost immediately they were almost obsessed with each other. Three months into their relationship, a Meghan friend said, they had already begun swapping the words ‘I love you’. Harry said it first, apparently, but Meghan quickly reciprocated. From there it didn’t take long for them to begin talking in non-oblique terms about their future.

Meghan Markle was charmed by Prince Harry’s adorable habit

While Prince Harry was captivated by Meghan’s wit, intelligence, beauty, and desire to help others, the duchess was charmed by her now-husband in other ways. After that first date, Prince Harry texted Meghan immediately as she arrived back at her hotel. According to Finding Freedom via People,

His messages were often short and full of emojis, in particular the ghost emoji, which he often used instead of a smiley face. For what reason? Nobody knows. But Meghan found his texting etiquette funny and adorable, just like the prince. He definitely didn’t hide the fact that he was keen. He wanted her to know he was very interested.
