Meghan Markle ‘Couldn’t Help Herself’ and Has Become the ‘PR Crisis Gift That Keeps on Giving,’ Expert Says
From the moment Prince Harry and Meghan Markle touched down in Canada to kick off the 2025 Invictus Games, the talk became all about the duchess’s wardrobe.
As we’ve seen in years past, Meghan’s clothes at the event are a hot topic as countless entertainment news outlets give a rundown of what she wore, who designed each piece, and how much it cost. And while that’s great for those wanting to replicate the former Suits star‘s chic style, it takes the focus off of the athletes who the Invictus Games are really about.
Now, a royal expert is claiming that Meghan “couldn’t help herself” and used this year’s Games as more than just her personal runway.
Expert accuses duchess of making the Invictus Games ‘the Meghan show’
Royal commentator Sarah-Louise Robertson opined that Harry’s wife used these Games, in particular, to really promote herself and her upcoming projects.
“She is just the worst PR crisis gift that keeps on giving,” Robertson told GB News. “She’s used these last five days really as her runway, for flashing designer clothes that she’s wearing, and clinging on to Harry … I think Harry actually at the points looked quite unhappy. She’s been clinging on to him, over-the-top public displays of affection, kissing his face all the time. And at times, Harry just looked like he just wanted to be left alone for five minutes.”
The commentator added that Meghan was “plastering herself everywhere” and was in “every shot” that the prince was in.
She said: “We’ve hardly heard anything about the athletes, I don’t even know who any of them are, sadly. It’s really just been the Meghan show … It started to really affect the luck of the games because she has taken a plastering. She’s all over everywhere, she’s putting herself forward and center yet again, this is what she does. She just can’t help herself, she’s in every shot.”
Claim that Meghan was filming herself at the Games for more Netflix content
Robertson also hit out at Meghan about filming herself as she believes that will be used as content for a “new Netflix show.”
According to Robertson: “[Meghan’s] taking pictures herself, she was with her phone videoing it all. But then she’s got someone behind her videoing her on top, which is for her new Netflix TV show. So Meghan was just using this as an opportunity to present herself, and it was distracting away from the Games.”
So far, the only upcoming show Netflix has confirmed from the duchess is With Love, Meghan which will debut on the streaming giant on March 4.
Meghan left Canada via a private jet back to Montecito on Feb. 12 to reunite with her and Harry’s two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
