Meghan Markle’s Current Achievements Appear to be Reduced to 2 Words After Surprise Gala Appearance
Meghan Markle‘s public life has spanned over two decades. In that time she has amassed a film and television career and became a member of Britain’s royal family. However, during a gala celebrating the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Meghan Markle’s current achievements appeared to be reduced to two words.

Meghan Markle made a surprise solo appearance at the 2024 gala for the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The annual event pays tribute to the hospital’s patients, doctors, researchers, and caregivers.
Meghan’s attendance at the event was big news. Her red carpet walk was captured by In Style magazine.
On its Instagram page, In Style shared a play on words regarding Meghan’s appearance in a striking red gown. They wrote she made a “sweet surprise appearance at the Gala” in a “strawberry red ensemble.” But first, the caption referred to Meghan as a “jam entrepreneur.”
After two decades in the spotlight as a film, television, and movie star, as well as a marriage to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle is now known for making jam. She hasn’t revealed any new projects besides her American Riviera Orchard brand which makes jam and other household items.
American Riviera Orchard’s website remains dormant. There are no items for sale, and thus far, Meghan appears to have shared her small-batch jam with her celebrity friends.
Being called a “jam entrepreneur” didn’t go unnoticed by In Style’s Instagram followers. They had plenty to say about Meghan’s new title in the post’s caption.
Social media swipes at Meghan Markle’s ‘jam entrepreneur’ title
On Instagram, In Style’s readers took swipes at the publication’s description of Meghan Markle’s newest line of work. It struck a chord with some social media users.
“Jam entrepreneur?! Lol,” wrote one reader. A second penned, “Does 50 jars make you a jam entrepreneur?MM, former member of the royal family, now making jam for the Montecito WI.”
A third follower wrote, “Jam entrepreneur is a perfect description.” Finally, a fourth noted, “All the ways she could have used her platform or her voice and she goes on about how she chooses to make jam.”
Other fans were more complimentary, stating that Meghan looked stunning in her bright red Carolina Herrera dress. Others were even more astute, realizing the gown was a reworking of a look Meghan previously donned in 2021.
Meghan first wore the Carolina Herrera gown at an event with Prince Harry
In November 2021, Meghan Markle debuted the same bright red Carolina Herrera gown when she and Prince Harry attended the Salute to Freedom gala. The event was held at the Intrepid Museum in New York City and was one of the first engagements the couple attended after separating from the royal family.
As a working royal family member, the gown’s plunging neckline would have been inappropriate for being too revealing. Female royal family members typically do not show that much skin when representing the crown at formal events.
When Meghan first wore the bright red ensemble, she and Harry were already one year out of their royal roles. For the gown’s current incarnation, Meghan opted to go even sleeker, removing the train and showing off the gown’s overall sculptured look.
