Meghan Markle has not been on great terms with the royal family in quite a while. The Duchess of Sussex married Prince Harry back in 2018, but it wasn’t long before Harry and Meghan realized they didn’t like the family’s treatment or rules. The two left the family in 2020 and have only returned a handful of times since.

Meghan and Harry have spent the last few years detailing their royal experience, which hasn’t painted the royals in the best light. That’s why Meghan’s latest move actually might have the family breathing a sigh of “relief.”

Meghan Markle’s new business venture is a ‘relief’ to the royals — probably

A while back, Meghan announced plans for her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. The duchess is creating a lifestyle brand that will sell things like jams and jellies, textiles, and other home items, which will give the duchess a larger business to put her time and effort into. Meghan is also in the midst of filming a new cooking show on Netflix, so she has plenty of things to put her effort into. Previously, Meghan and Harry were capitalizing on their royal experiences, but Meghan’s latest business venture seems to suggest the two are done telling their royal story.

“Considering how much anticipation there was for Meghan’s supposed ‘tell-all-novel,’ her pivot into domestic goddess should surely mean there are a few sighs of relief around the palace .. For now,” royal writer Emma Clifton wrote in Australian Women’s Weekly, according to Express.

Meghan’s new line of products doesn’t have an exact launch date, but fans have been eagerly anticipating the new venture. She has also sent samples to a number of high-profile celebrities who have shared the products on social media.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are probably done reporting on the royal family

At this point, Harry and Meghan’s experience as working royals ended four years ago. They have been finding their footing ever since, and while the two probably aren’t going to ever make a royal return, it seems that their focus has shifted to building a brand for themselves outside of the royal name.

Harry and Meghan also have two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, who they are raising in California; that certainly takes up plenty of their time as well. It seems that the couple’s ultimate goal was to profit from telling their story, which would give them a chance to plant roots in the US, before starting on their own business ventures. And so far, it’s working.
