Meghan Markle Looks ‘More Trustworthy’ Than Queen Elizabeth, Says Study
Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is a talented actress and a former senior member of the royal family. Her relationship with Prince Harry created a wave of interest in her activities, and from the start of their romance, the public was invested in everything Meghan said and did.
Although Meghan and Prince Harry left England at the beginning of the year to pursue other opportunities, people still want to know everything that they can about the couple. Recently, a new study revealed some rather surprising results — results that directly contradict much of the negative press that Meghan has received over the years.
Meghan Markle has had a tough time with the public and press
Meghan and Prince Harry started dating in the summer of 2016, and by late 2017, they were engaged. Many loved the idea of the American actress finding love with the British prince, and there were a number of fans all over the world who supported their relationship.
Still, there were also a lot of haters, and Meghan suffered from negative press almost from the get-go. The reports got to be so bad that Prince Harry even issued a rare statement, condemning the negative press and calling out racist coverage.
Meghan and Prince Harry tied the knot in the summer of 2018, but the negativity, unfortunately, only continued. Reports claimed that Meghan was unkind to palace staff, that she had an ongoing feud with sister-in-law Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, and that she spent too much money on clothes — most of the reports without any basis in fact.
Unfortunately, they had an effect on Meghan’s public image, and by the time she and Prince Harry stepped down as senior royals in early 2020, there were many who didn’t like Meghan at all.
Queen Elizabeth II is one of the world’s most respected leaders
During all the drama with Prince Harry and Meghan, one woman remained steadfast and firm: the queen.
Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Harry’s grandmother, is one of the longest-reigning monarchs in history, and over the decades, has witnessed many major events. From World War II to the death of Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth has seen her country through a lot of difficult times and has always risen to the occasion with grace and dignity.
While the queen has received some criticism over the years, with some claiming that she is too traditional, she is beloved by millions. There’s no doubt that Queen Elizabeth II remains, even in her nineties, a force for good and a respected symbol of women’s empowerment.
A new study claims that Meghan Markle looks ‘more trustworthy’ than the queen
Meghan has not always received positive reviews from the British public, but according to a recent study, she actually looks more trustworthy than the queen herself. The study, which examined changes in portraits over a five hundred year time span, determined that “as living standards improved since the 1500s, so did the apparent trustworthiness of the subjects.”
The results revealed that Meghan actually looks more trustworthy than Queen Elizabeth II, as well as her predecessor, Queen Elizabeth I. This seems to have a lot to do with the way that portraits are photographed and presented, rather than the underlying character of the subject in the portrait.
As one of the researchers on the study claimed, “It is possible that Meghan Markle is not a trustworthy person, but on average her appearance in her portrait makes her look trustworthy.” The study is not likely to change the public’s perception of any one of these women in a major way, but it is certainly very interesting.
