Meghan Markle Once Applied For a Job on This Talk Show
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their engagement on Nov. 27, 2017, and the two are set to be married on May 19, 2018. But long before she was preparing for life as a royal, Markle was very focused on getting into the entertainment industry.

Markle retires from acting for royal duties
Following her engagement news, Markle announced that she would be stepping away from acting and leaving the show she has starred on since 2011 to focus on royal duties.
“What’s been so exciting [transitioning] out of my career and into … the causes I can focus even more energy on, very early out of the gate, have a voice that people listen to, a lot of responsibility,” Markle said in a joint interview with Harry.
