Meghan Markle Thought Sister-in-Law Kate Was ‘Too Much of a Goody-Two-Shoes,’ Palace Employees Claim
There was a time when royal fans thought that Prince Harry‘s wife, Meghan Markle, and Prince William’s wife, the Princess of Wales (formerly known as Kate Middleton), were going to be great friends and really bond over their unique experience of marrying into the royal family. But as we know now, that wasn’t the case.
The two women never got along too well and trouble between their husbands had been brewing behind the scenes for some time. While the foursome worked to keep the tension between them from seeping through their forced smiles, eventually the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as working royals and moved to the other side of the pond.
What no one was expecting though was the barrage of verbal grenades that Meghan and Harry fired off after they settled in California. Following a tell-all TV special, multiple interviews with the highest bidder, a Netflix docuseries, and an explosive memoir, the relationship between the Sussexes and the Waleses was shattered. And now some staffers who worked at Kensington Palace before Meghan and Harry left, are sharing what the former Suits star really thought of her sister-in-law.
Claim that Meghan thought Kate was just a ‘goody two shoes’

Royal expert Tom Quinn, who authored the book Yes Ma’am: The Secret Life of Royal Servants, spoke to several people who were employed at the Palace when Meghan was still there.
A member of the Palace’s communications team claimed that “Meghan thought Kate was just too eager to please, too much a goody-two-shoes girl.”
Another former Kensington Palace staffer explained: “In many ways it was just the same as the kind of backbiting gossipy criticism that Meghan had to put up with, but Kate is actually a much stronger person than Meghan in many ways. Some people thought it wasn’t strength but a sort of passivity — that was one of the bugbears between Meghan and Kate.
“Meghan wanted Kate to be feistier and make her own mark. But what Meghan saw as Kate being pushed around, Kate saw as an essential part of being a member of the royal family.”
The relationship between the two women today is non-existent

Given all that’s transpired, we know the relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry is non-existent.
Some close to the Prince of Wales made it clear exactly how he feels about his brother now, telling the Daily Beast: “[William] feels utterly betrayed … He hates him for what he has done to the family in the books and interviews … It’s no secret William would prefer it if Harry never stepped foot in England again.”
There is no relationship between their wives either and friends of the Waleses say Kate’s priorities these days certainly aren’t Meghan or Harry. Since her cancer battle, the Princess of Wales’ focus has been on her family and staying healthy.
