Meghan Markle’s Father, Thomas Markle, Just Made a ‘Shocking’ Announcement to ‘Rock Sussexes’ in New Interview

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry left California together and made a return to the world stage last week for the Invictus Games, and someone else who has returned to the spotlight at the same time is the duchess’s father Thomas Markle.

Meghan’s dad’s name appeared in the headlines when it was teased that he was making a “shocking” announcement that would “rock” his daughter and son-in-law on an evening news program in the U.K. Here’s what Thomas just revealed that he wants the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to hear.

Thomas’ announcement teased as something that ‘will rock the Sussexes’

On April 25, GB News host Dan Wootton tweeted that Meghan’s father would be featured on the show to give his take following the Sussexes’ visit to see Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, before the Invictus Games.

Speaking to NBC’s TODAY co-anchor Hoda Kotb about that meeting Harry said: “Being with her, it was great. It was just so nice to see her … She’s in great form. She’s always got a great sense of humor with me and I’m just making sure she’s protected with the right people around her.”

Some royal watchers saw that comment about “the right people around her” as Harry taking a dig at other members of the royal family.

Wootton stated that Thomas would give his reaction to that and also teased that Meghan’s dad was going to make a “shocking announcement” on the program that would “rock” the duke and duchess.

So what was Thomas’ big announcement?

Meghan’s father will be flying to London with GB News to attend Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee and hopes to meet the monarch, Prince Charles, Prince Harry, and his grandchildren.

The festivities are taking place between June 2 through June 5 with the Trooping the Colour scheduled for Thursday, June 2. However, it’s not clear at this time if Meghan or her husband will actually be in the U.K. for the celebrations.

Thomas has a YouTube channel called ‘Remarkleable Friendship’

For those who don’t know Thomas recently launched his own platform where he can talk about Meghan and Harry as freely and as much as he wants.

Thomas has partnered with celebrity reporter Karl Larson for their own YouTube Channel titled Remarkable Friendship.

When promoting the channel’s launch in March Larson explained to The Mirror: “Tom wants to do it to put his thoughts out there from the horse’s mouth. He wants to speak about how Meghan and Harry have affected his family. The chat will be no-holds-barred. He wants his truth to be out there, just like Meghan’s truth came out a year ago in her Oprah Winfrey interview. He also wants to speak about other things in the news, too.”

In just over a month’s time, their channel has racked up tens of thousands of subscribers.
