Meghan Markle’s First Picture With Kate Middleton Came Years Before She Married Prince Harry
Getting your picture taken every time you step out in public is a way of life for members of the royal family – especially when you are fashion icons Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle. Photographers go to extremes to get a snap of the Duchesses, and pics of them together are even more valuable, considering the constant rumors of a feud.
But, it turns out that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton took a picture together years before the former Suits actress became the Duchess of Sussex, and a royal fan just proved it with an Instagram post.
Royal fans found a picture from 2014
Markle starred in the USA legal drama Suits for seven seasons, and during that time she was an active blogger who loved to post on her social media accounts. She also frequently gave interviews, did press for the show, and contributed editorial pieces for different publications. In 2014 she met up with Denise Cash from the Irish U magazine when she wrote a piece for the periodical about her favorite sunglasses – Ray-Ban aviators.
After their meeting, Meghan Markle and Cash posed for a picture together, and in the photo, the future Duchess of Sussex is holding an issue of U Magazine that had Kate Middleton on the cover along with a headline that William and Kate were possibly expecting twins.
The picture was taken two years before Markle met Prince Harry and four years before she became Kate Middleton’s sister-in-law. Somehow, a fan recently discovered the pic and posted it on their Instagram account.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship moved quickly
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex met on a blind date in July 2016, vacationed together in Africa just weeks later (and again in August 2017), and by November 2017 they were engaged. According to Fox News, William and Kate’s alleged feud with Harry and Meghan began because of the speed of the relationship.
“It was all so quick that William and Kate didn’t have a moment to get to know Meghan because Harry hardly knew Meghan,” explained Ingrid Seward – royal expert and editor of Majesty Magazine – in the documentary William & Harry: Princes At War.
She added that William and Kate were naturally a bit skeptical about the relationship since Markle is older than Harry, and she had been married before.
Meghan is four years older than Harry. And, before they tied the knot in May 2018, Markle was married to television and film producer Trevor Engelson. Markle and Engelson were together for eight years, which included a two-year marriage from 2011 to 2013.
Prince Harry didn’t appreciate the lack of support
Royal experts say that Harry “went ballistic” when William and Kate didn’t support his relationship with Meghan Markle right away. Emily Andrews, the royal reporter for The Sun, claims that her sources say that Harry told William he was “trying to wreck this relationship before it’s even started.”
Author Katie Nicholl agrees, saying that it was that moment that the dynamics changed between William and Harry and resentment started to creep in. Harry had supported William’s relationship with Kate from day one, and he was let down when William didn’t return the favor.
Insiders also claim that Markle remained silent while her future husband lectured the future King and Queen.
Despite the rumors of a feud between the foursome, their public appearances together seem to reveal that they do get along, and Markle and Middleton have even bonded over motherhood.
Meghan Markle has been hiding her son Archie Harrison from the media since his birth on May 6th. But, cameras recently caught her disembarking a private jet in Nice, France, and in her arms, she tightly held her newborn.
The pic also gave fans a glimpse at baby Archie’s red hair that he inherited from his dad.
