Meghan Markle’s Sister Samantha Will Be On This Reality Show
We’re not done hearing from Meghan Markle’s half-sister, Samantha Grant, just yet and that’s because she’s been tapped to join a popular reality show this summer.
It seems Grant has been doing all she can for publicity from badmouthing Prince Harry’s wife in the media to writing a tell-all book about her to demanding money for interviews in which she promises to spill “dirt.” And now, reports have surfaced that she’ll be given a good amount of air-time to continue bashing her half-sibling.
Grant told Inside Edition that she will be appearing on the U.K. version of Celebrity Big Brother slated for this August. The theme of the show this season is being billed as The Eye of The Storm so producers wanted some stars who could bring a bit of controversy.
Show creators have promised that each housemate will “have a unique shared experience, they’ve all weathered their own media storms. Under Big Brother’s eye their stories will be once again firmly in the spotlight and in the national conversation. This summer’s Celebrity Big Brother, like the new eye (which will feature neon lightning bolts), is set to be electric.”
Some other names rumored to be joining the cast include actress Kirstie Alley, adult film star Stormy Daniels, Bad Girls Club’s Mehgan James, The Only Way Is Essex star Dan Osborne, and kidnapped British model Chloe Ayling. However, Grant is the only person confirmed to have signed on so far and she will be collecting six figures to move into the house.
“Life is about cashing in,” she said. “You take opportunities as they arise and hopefully you enjoy the ride and make it as positive as you can. There’s nothing wrong with it.”
She added that “the purpose of that show would not be to discuss [Meghan]” but knows that her housemates will likely be asking about the newest royal.
Grant has wanted to cash in on Markle’s fame for a while and hasn’t given up. On July 19, she reached out The Domenick Nati Show asking for $1,500 to do a sit-down interview about the Suits alum. The show turned down her offer.
Earlier this week, she attacked Markle in a series of angry tweets following an interview their father gave about his daughter and new son-in-law.
“My father is not an embarrassment for loving his daughter! The Royals are an embarrassment for being so cold,” Grant wrote. “You should be ashamed of yourselves. How about you pay tribute to your own father?! Enough is enough. Act like a humanitarian act like a woman! If our father dies I’m holding you responsible, Meg!”
The 53-year-old and her half-sister have been estranged for years but Grant still continues to use the leverage of them being related every chance she gets. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how long she actually goes without blabbing about the duchess while she’s in the BB house.
The new season of Celebrity Big Brother begins filming on Aug. 17.
