Meghan Markle’s ‘Suits’ Co-Stars Congratulate Her and Prince Harry on Birth of Baby Sussex
Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, is officially a mother! She gave birth to Baby Sussex, a boy weighing in at 7 pounds 3 ounces, at 5:26 a.m. BST or, 12:26 a.m. EST. Congratulatory messages have no doubt been pouring in for new parents Markle and Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex. Markle’s former co-stars on the USA legal drama, Suits, have been quick to send their heartfelt congratulations to the couple. Keep reading to see what Markle’s co-stars said.
Patrick J. Adams sends ‘much love’ to Baby Sussex ‘and his incredible parents’
Markle spent a lot of time with actor Patrick J. Adams on the set of Suits because he played Mike Ross, the character who would go on to become her character’s husband.
Adams tweeted a heartfelt message to Markle, Prince Harry, and their new baby saying, “Just heard that the world just got heavier by 7 pounds and 3 ounces. Much love to him and his incredible parents. Learned first hand 7 months ago how transformational becoming a parent is and couldn’t be happier for Meghan and Harry as they begin this adventure. #playdatesoon”
Adams became a parent himself when he welcomed a baby girl with his wife, fellow actress Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars) in Oct. 2018, according to People. And this isn’t the first time Adams has mentioned playdates with Baby Sussex. Attending the Good for a Laugh benefit in Los Angeles, Entertainment Tonight asked Adams and Bellisario about possible playdates between Baby Sussex and their daughter. “Maybe at her house. It’s a little bigger,” Adams jokingly told the publication.
As for parenting tips, Adams felt Markle didn’t need any. “We’ve shared exactly zero tips with her because I don’t think Meghan needs any tips about anything,” Adams said. On the same topic, Bellisario said, “She looks like she knows what she’s doing.”
‘Suits’ sends love to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry with a tweet and blue heart emoji
A tweet from the official Twitter account of the show went out earlier today to congratulate Markle. “The entire #Suits family sends their congratulations to The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, on the birth of their baby boy!” the tweet read followed by a blue heart emoji. Season 9 of the series will be the show’s last. The final season will premiere on July 17, 2019.
Sarah Rafferty sends ‘blessing across the pond’
Actress Sarah Rafferty also got close with her former co-star Markle while on set. Rafferty’s character, Donna Paulsen, and Markle’s character, Rachel Zane, were what one would call, “work wives.” They looked out for each other at work and were close friends. Understandably, Rafferty and Markle became somewhat of work wives themselves because they were often in scenes together.
Rafferty crafted a joyful tweet after learning that Markle gave birth to her first baby. “Hearts are leaping for a beautiful, wondrous and healthy baby boy! Sending much love and wishes for every blessing across the pond today and everyday!” Rafferty wrote with a heart emoji to sign off the tweet.
