Meri Brown has forged a life for herself as a single woman in her 50s in recent years. The TV personality has flourished since leaving Arizona and moving to Utah, where she runs a bed and breakfast. While Meri wasn’t always a fan favorite on Sister Wives, her recent transformation has endeared her to viewers. In the show’s 19th season, she’s getting real and honest about where she is in life. A recent clip for the upcoming episode shows that separating from her plural family has given Meri a lot of new insight.

Meri Brown opens up about the end of her plural marriage

In a sneak peek for the upcoming episode of Sister Wives, Meri Brown discusses what her life looks like now that she’s left plural marriage behind. In the clip obtained by Parade, the small business owner makes it clear that she is laser-focused on appreciating the people in her life. To successfully move on, she had to leave her plural family in the past. That is clearly where they belong.

Meri tells her friends, “If they don’t want you at their table, make your own,” in the telling clip. It’s clear that Meri has spent a good amount of time since her divorce “making her own” table. The mother of one has an extensive network of friends. She has spent the last two years documenting her budding relationships, growing businesses, and extensive travels on Instagram. Meri has almost no contact with her ex-husband or former sister wives. She does appear to keep in contact with several Brown family kids, but not all of them.

Seeing Meri Brown realize that she has options and value outside of the plural family she once belonged to has been inspiring for many Sister Wives fans. Still, it has been a long time in the making. For several seasons, viewers were frustrated with Meri for trying to remain in a family that didn’t want her around for many years.
