Meri Brown Skips Robyn and Kody’s Thanksgiving so Kody Can Show Robyn His ‘Adoration’
Holidays at the Brown family residences were once a complicated matter. In the early season of Sister Wives, the series depicted the family working together to accommodate dozens of people. Things were chaotic but merry. In recent years, drama surrounded the holiday season, with the plural family celebrating in different locations and fighting over who was spending time with whom. The most recent holiday seasons have been much quieter, at least for Kody and his now-only wife. Meri Brown, Kody’s first wife, recently sat down and explained why she opted out of the holiday season with her ex-husband and her former sister’s wife.
Meri Brown didn’t want to prevent Kody from showing his ‘adoration’ at Thanksgiving
Meri Brown has let loose in season 19 of Sister Wives, and fans love her honest and often snarky commentary. In a season 19 clip obtained by Entertainment Tonight, Meri Brown explains why she skipped out on Kody and Robyn’s Thanksgiving celebration in 2022. The small business owner said that while Robyn had reached out and asked her to attend the festivities, she opted to sit it out, and she blames Kody Brown for that.
In her confessional, Meri revealed that Kody verbally confirmed that he is uncomfortable having Meri around because he can’t show Robyn the love he wants. Meri explained that she isn’t going to “inhibit” his ability to show Robyn the “adoration” he wants, even if it’s just for a few hours. She explained that she isn’t a family member and feels uncomfortable spending a holiday with the now-monogamous couple.
Meri Brown didn’t reveal where she spent her holiday instead. Still, it is safe to assume that wherever she spent the day, she had more fun and was more welcomed than she had been at Kody and Robyn’s Flagstaff abode.
Where do all of the Browns live right now?
Thanksgiving 2024 won’t include a stop at Kody and Robyn’s house for Meri, either. Since filming on season 19 wrapped, a lot has happened. Meri no longer lives in Flagstaff, Arizona. Instead, she moved her home base to Parowan, Utah, where she owns a bed and breakfast.
Christine Brown, Kody’s third wife and the first to leave him behind, also lives in Utah. She settled in Lehi with her new husband, David Woolley. She and Meri do not maintain a relationship. Janelle Brown is the most recent sister wife to make a big move. The mother of six recently set down roots in North Carolina and even opened a business in the state with her daughter and son-in-law. It looks like she’ll be celebrating all of her holidays on the East Coast now. Janelle was Kody’s second wife and the second wife to leave him.
Kody and Robyn’s current location is unknown. The couple listed their Flagstaff home for sale in August. It has yet to sell, but fans believe they moved out before they listed it. They have been spotted in several states in recent months, including Utah, Nevada and Arizona.
