Micah Plath’s Girlfriend Veronica Peters Just Made Her ‘Welcome to Plathville’ Debut

Micah Plath’s mystery girlfriend has made her TV debut. 

In the August 20 episode of TLC’s Welcome to Plathville, Micah, 23, opened up about his relationship with his girlfriend, Veronica Peters. Until now, Veronica has been keeping a low profile, opting not to appear on his family’s reality TV show. But that changed on Tuesday, when she surprised everyone by agreeing to sit down for an on-camera interview. 

Micah Plath explained why his girlfriend didn’t want to be on ‘Welcome to Plathville’ 

Earlier in the episode, Micah explained why his girlfriend did not want to participate in Welcome to Plathville. 

“As far as having a public relationship, you know my girlfriend likes to steer clear of that type of stuff. She would rather keep her peace,” he said. 

Even though Veronica was camera shy, that didn’t seem to be putting a damper on her and Micah’s romance. He told producers that they were “having a lot of fun” together, even if viewers didn’t see it. 

Veronica Peters didn’t want to ‘be in the spotlight’ 

As Micah chatted with producers, Veronica emerged from another room of their home.

​​“It was definitely a point of not contention, but it was definitely something talked about a lot,” she said of her initial decision to not participate in the show. “I never was the person that wanted to be in the spotlight. I liked being in the back of the room. I liked being the one listening to everything, the one not involved in everything.”

“If you told me when I first met Micah that we would be doing this today, I’d be like, ‘Yeah, no,’” she said. 

“It’s been a growing process for sure,” Micah said. 

Veronica said “insecurity” was one reason she avoided cameras. She also said she wanted to live in the moment. But eventually, she realized that being with Micah would likely involve documenting their relationship in some way. 

“I tried to hide for a while,” she said. “It didn’t work.”  

A grinning Micah said that he was happy Veronica had agreed to go public with their romance. 

“It kind of takes our relationship to the next level,” he said. 

Are Micah and Veronica married? 

Shortly before Veronica’s first Welcome to Plathville episode aired, she and Micah launched their relationship on social media. The couple has a joint Instagram account, @veronica.plath. So far, it includes a couple of photos of the smiling pair, as well as one of Veronica spending time with Micah, several of his younger siblings, his mom Kim Plath, and Kim’s boyfriend. 

The name of the account caused some people to wonder if Micah and Veronica had already tied the knot. But they seemed to shut down those rumors in their bio.

“Keep jumping to conclusions,” it reads. “This is our joint account.” 

Veronica also has her own Instagram account, which is primarily focused on her business as a luxury real estate agent in Florida.
