Michael Patrick King Shares a Release Date Update for ‘And Just Like That…’ Season 3
The cast of And Just Like That… spent months running around New York City, filming scenes for the divisive reboot. Filming officially wrapped months ago, but Max has remained tightlipped about the season 3 premiere date. While the streaming service provider has not yet announced a release date, Michael Patrick King dropped a big hint about when fans can expect the season to be released.
Max is staying quiet about an official release date for ‘And Just Like That…’ Season 3
It has been months since the official And Just Like That… Instagram account announced the cast had wrapped filming. Despite the cast finishing up work months ago, save for some reshoots, Max isn’t opening up about the show’s official release date. In fact, the streaming service provider hasn’t made any significant announcements about the Sex and the City reboot’s third season.
Fans were able to catch a glimpse of Carrie Bradshaw, Miranda Hobbes, and Charlotte York in a trailer for what was to come on the streaming service last year. In that trailer, Max revealed the series would be released sometime in 2025. Since then, no announcements have been made. At least the network responsible for the reboot isn’t talking. Michael Patrick King is.

Max might be keeping the official release date quiet, but Michael Patrick King is feeling a bit more generous with information. The famed showrunner appeared on the Are You a Charlotte? podcast earlier this month and chatted with host Kristin Davis about the upcoming season.
During the conversation, King said that fans can expect the season to be released in the “summer.” He insisted that the series feels like a “summer” show now that the heaviness of season 1 has given way to a lighter and more energetic series.
Season 1 of And Just Like That… was released in December 2021. The premiere season was heavy and dark. After all, the entire season focused on the death of Carrie Bradshaw’s husband, Mr. Big, and her grief journey. Season 2 was decidedly lighter and had more upbeat moments. Still, it felt a bit weighed down by the loss of the enigmatic John James Preston. Season 2 premiered in June 2023. Based on rumors about season 3, expect more fun from our favorite Manhattanites.
King did not offer an official release date, but summer likely means a June or July release date for And Just Like That… Season 3. Viewers will likely still have to wait a few more months to see a trailer for the season, though. Season 2’s official trailer was released just three weeks before the season premiered.
