Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Thinks This ‘Divergent’ Star Inspired the Name of Deena Cortese’s Second Child
Mike “The Situation” and Lauren Sorrentino have given Jersey Shore: Family Vacation fans behind-the-scenes access to their pregnancy thus far. From the Baby Situation Instagram account to their talks of the baby on the Here’s the Sitch podcast, fans already know so much about Mike and Lauren’s unborn child.
During a recent episode of the podcast, Mike and Lauren switched gears to discuss Deena Cortese’s second pregnancy. Mike shared a surprising theory about the name Cortese chose for her second child.
Mike “The Situation” and Lauren Sorrentino will have a baby boy in 2021
Over the Thanksgiving holiday, the Sorrentinos shared big news with Jersey Shore fans.
“Our biggest blessing is on its way,” Lauren said on Instagram. “We have a Baby Situation,” Mike captioned his set of photos. Baby Sorrentino will arrive in May 2021. A few weeks later, the couple shared the sex of the baby with fans.
“Gym Tan We’re having a Baby Boy,” Mike shared on Instagram. As discussed on the Here’s the Sitch podcast, the couple are already contemplating names for their first child. Lauren mentioned being torn between a few options, but she’s not ready to share them with fans just yet.
Deena Cortese and Chris Buckner are expecting baby number 2 in 2021
In 2019, Cortese welcomed her son Christopher John (“CJ”) into the world. Now she’s patiently awaiting the arrival of her second son with her husband, Chris Buckner.
“We’re so excited to announce we’re expecting Baby Buckner #2 May 1, 2021,” Cortese shared on Twitter a few days before Halloween.
A few days later on Halloween, Cortese shared photos of her family on Instagram and revealed the sex of baby number two. CJ will have a baby brother in May 2021.
More recently, Cortese took to social media to share the name she and her husband have chosen for their second son.
Deena Cortese is naming her second son Cameron Theo
Like the Sorrentinos, Cortese has been extremely open about her pregnancy on social media. On Dec. 12, Cortese revealed the name of baby number two — Cameron Theo Buckner.
“This pregnancy has been super different from my first,” Cortese said on Instagram. “I feel like I can already feel our little Cameron’s personality.”
The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star said she hasn’t felt as sick or as tired as she did with her first pregnancy.
“Cameron has been so different for the first 18 weeks — some days I’d forget I was even pregnant,” she added. “He’s very calm in there lol.”

During the “Quarantine Fatigue” episode of the Here’s the Sitch podcast, Mike and Lauren briefly discussed names for their baby. While they won’t reveal the names they like just yet, they did talk about the name Cortese chose for her second child.
“She’s a big fan of Divergent,” Mike explained. “Theo James is in [those films, and] I think that’s one of the reasons why she went with that [middle] name, which is pretty funny.”
Cortese has yet to comment on whether or not James really did inspire the her second son’s middle name.
