The Moment Mila Kunis Wanted to ‘Walk Away’ From Her Relationship With Ashton Kutcher
Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are a lovely couple. They met back in 1998 while starring on That ’70s Show and got married in 2015 during a secret wedding ceremony. But at one point, Kunis wanted to “walk away” from her relationship with Kutcher. What happened to make her want to leave?

Kunis and Kutcher met in 1998 while playing a couple on That ’70s Show. And according to Kunis, she started screaming with excitement when she learned she would be playing Kutcher’s love interest.
“I started yelling,” gushed Kunis. “It was just the biggest shock. I was so excited.”
And according to a 2001 interview with Kunis (via Insider), she developed a big crush on her on-screen boyfriend.
“I was like, ‘Oh, he’s so cute, it’s the Calvin Klein model,” she said. “Then I was like, ‘I have to kiss him?’ I was so nervous and uncomfortable. I had the biggest crush on him.”
Mila Kunis wanted to walk away from her relationship with Ashton Kutcher at one point
After That ’70s Show wrapped up, Kunis and Kutcher went their separate ways. Both went on to star in hit movies, such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Bobby.
But during that time, they kept in touch via AIM.
It wasn’t until 2011 that they reconnected in person at the 69th annual golden globe awards. Soon afterward, they started hooking up casually, as friends with benefits. But it didn’t take long for both of them to develop feelings for each other.
“It was the first time ever that I ever slept over at a guy’s house since becoming single,” Kunis said. “When I was single, I was so adamant about never staying at a guy’s house, that I was like peacing out. And he was like, ‘You’re not leaving.’ And that was the first time [I didn’t.]”
But as time passed, Kunis’s feelings for Kutcher prevented her from wanting to continue a casual relationship with him. It got to the point where she began to want more.
“Three months later, I was like, ‘This isn’t fun anymore,'” Kunis said (via Insider.) “I was like, you know what, I actually care about you. I don’t want to mess anything up, so I’m just going to walk away before it becomes too much,” she continued. “And he was like, ‘Got it.'”
The following day, Kutcher asked Kunis to move in with him.
Mila Kunis is bummed out that she and Kutcher missed out on so many years together as a couple
According to Kunis, she is sad that she missed out on so many years with Kutcher once That ’70s Show wrapped up. (At the time, both were in serious relationships with other people.)
“The people that we were back then would have never been together,” Kunis clarified via the WTF podcast. “But it’s just such a bummer that we missed out on 20 years together. I look back, and I’m like, ‘we could have spent 20 years together.’ We would have never been together if we both didn’t go through what we went through to be the people that we were when we reconnected.”
