Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus make quite the musical duo, but they rarely sing together. As a special treat, the sisters joined forces for a joint performance on Miley’s rebooted Backyard Sessions series, and fans can’t get over how similar their voices are.

In the performance for MTV Unplugged, the siblings sang Noah’s “I Got So High That I Saw Jesus.” The slow jam is the second song on Noah’s 2020 album THE END OF EVERYTHING.

Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus rarely perform together

Miley and Noah started out the song in perfect harmony. They sang, “I got so high that I saw Jesus. He said it’s all gonna be okay. You just need me in your heart. Tennessee Whiskey and love. I got so high that I saw Jesus.” Honestly, it takes a few seconds to figure out which of the sisters is singing which part.

Noah then took the first verse, singing, “Yeah, they talk about the rivers running dry. How pretty soon there won’t be any water left to turn to wine. Like a drunkard at the wedding. Blindly raising Armageddon. So, I’ma get high.” The “Midnight Sky” singer provided some background vocals and harmonies.

After the chorus repeated, Miley had her first solo. She sang, “Yeah, Joseph lost his job to a machine. And Mary lost her mind to lines of code. You can’t see. And if the angels are the A.I. I’m gonna burn this whole thing down. Well, I’m gonna burn one down right now.”

Are Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus going to collaborate?

Outside of their voices, fans in the comment section of the YouTube video couldn’t get over how adorable their big sister/little sister dynamic was in the performance. Some said they were even brought to tears by the song. Surely, this will only make their fandoms want a collaboration between the two even more.

Miley has done a bunch of iconic covers in her Backyard Sessions over the years. There’s her memorable rendition of “Jolene” from 2012, and she just covered Britney Spears’ “Gimme More” during the Oct. 16 show. “I Got So High That I Saw Jesus” is a perfect slow jam to add to this roster of covers.

Noah broke down the meaning of the track in an interview with V Magazine in March. Despite its religious lyrics, the song isn’t about one particular faith.

“Religion or spirituality can mean many different things to many different people,” the 20-year-old star said. “This song is not about or for one religion or belief system.”

She continued, “Jesus basically represents a greater understanding and knowledge that everything has its purpose and everything will work itself out the way it’s supposed to. Everything will be OK, so long as we are guided by compassion and community. Both are needed more than ever right now.”

Clearly, the world of Miley and Noah Cyrus fans also need an official collaboration!
