For the past 14 years, Miley Cyrus has been a worldwide phenomenon thanks to her singing talent, catchy songs, and acting career. She’s also known for her string of high-profile romances, which have been the talk of the town this past year especially.
Given her celebrity status, one would think that the singer is always noticed whenever she steps out in public. However, Cyrus recently revealed that she can easily fly under the radar — that is if she doesn’t do this everyday action that never fails to give her away.
Miley Cyrus grew up in the spotlight
Cyrus was only 12 years old when Hannah Montana first premiered on Disney Channel. The singer played the main character Miley Stewart, aka Hannah Montana, a regular teen going through growing pains by day who transforms into a pop sensation by night.
The series, which ran for four seasons, launched Cyrus’ career to new heights, and by the time she was 17, she was already an international superstar.
Following her run on Hannah Montana, Cyrus released albums while also starring in films such as The Last Song, LOL, and So Undercover. In 2013, the singer made waves when she began displaying a more rebellious persona, specifically during her Bangerz era.
But despite getting rid of her cookie-cutter image, the Disney Channel alum continued dominating the music industry. Today, she’s known as one of the greatest of all-time Billboard 200 artists and is often cited as an example of a successful child actor-turned-singer.
Miley Cyrus says she put in the work to overcome the pitfalls of fame
It’s often been seen that those who grow up in the spotlight encounter the pitfalls of fame.
Though Cyrus has experienced the downsides of stardom as well as how corrupt and unnatural fame can be, she recently shared that she has been putting in the work to overcome those odds.
“I say with confidence that I could be the one. I don’t expect it to be easy. And I don’t want it to be…I want all the challenging things. If it’s something that’s easy, I don’t f*cking want it,” she told Joe Rogen during an episode of his Joe Rogan Experience podcast. “I never have, that’s why I didn’t keep living my life in Nashville, where we were the biggest fish in a small pond, I needed more.”

At this point, one would think that it is incredibly challenging for Cyrus to go outside whenever and wherever she wants without getting detected. However, the singer recently admitted that going out in public isn’t really an issue for her as she’s good at not drawing attention herself.
But despite being able to go out in public without people noticing her, Cyrus says there’s one thing that quickly gives her away, and it’s a unique characteristic that many always associate her with.
“Yeah, I sneak around pretty good. It’s the voice, it’s not the makeup. I just have to shut up,” she said.
Since she has such a distinct voice, many can easily point Cyrus out even if she’s trying to fly under the radar. But that hasn’t stopped the singer from allowing herself to enjoy a semblance of normal life from time to time.
