Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi have been an “it” couple for years despite being barely into their 20s. They have appeared inseparable since they first went public with their romance more than three years ago. Still, the duo shocked fans when they tied the knot in 2024.
Brown, 20, and Bongiovi, 22, opted to get married at a much younger age than is typical now. Despite how young they are, they are confident in their decision. Brown recently opened up about why she felt comfortable getting married when she was barely out of her teen years.

Love has been in the air for Millie Bobby Brown since she met Jake via Instagram Bongiovi in 2021. Bongiovi shared the couple’s first picture in June 2021, but they did not publicly announce their romance until November 2021. They married in May 2024 after a year-long engagement and celebrated in October 2024 with family and friends in Italy.
The couple have settled into married life, despite naysayers who insisted they were just too young to tie the knot. Recently, Brown sat down for a chat with Vanity Fair and opened up about her life outside acting. Her relationship with Bongiovi factored heavily into the conversation.
Brown told Vanity Fair that despite their young age, she and Bongiovi are absolutely on the same page about their life going forward. She said that before they tied the knot, they discussed everything from what they wanted out of their careers, where they planned to live, and the type of family they hoped to build together. Despite her age, the Stranger Things star insists she felt confident going into her marriage.
“It’s such an important decision, and we wanted to make sure we were making the right one. I knew I was. It always felt right with him.”

Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are entirely confident in their decision to wed. While there have been plenty of naysayers, their family members are not among them. Bongiovi’s father, Jon Bon Jovi, has been especially outspoken. He reacted to the marriage and talked openly about the young couple shortly after they tied the knot.
In a conversation with E! News, Bon Jovi said, “They’re growing together. They’re madly in love, and we love them both for that. It’s an exciting adventure.”
In a previous chat with Andy Cohen, Bon Jovi theorized that age didn’t matter if you found the right person. The rock star knows a little something about that; he met his wife, Dorothea Bongiovi, in high school. They wed in 1989 and welcomed four children together, including Jake. They are still married.
