‘Million Dollar Listing’: Fredrik Eklund Asks Instagram Fans If He Should Have More Children
Fredrik Eklund from Million Dollar Listing New York recently wondered if he should add more children to his family.
Eklund and husband Derek Kaplan welcomed twins more than two years ago and he seems ready to have more children. “I want to have a third… should we do it? 🤪🤯,” he shared on Instagram along with photos of his children. Fans and friends quickly reacted with opinions pretty divided.
“I cannot handle the cuteness ❤️❤️ ,” Kyle Richards from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills replied. Some friends think he should have more kids including comedian Rosie O’Donnell and celebrity chef Cat Cora. Other fans asked why mess with perfection. “No , you’ve already been given the best gifts .. enjoy as they are perfect 💜,” one person responded.
Fredrik Eklund reflected on parenthood before his twins turned 2
Eklund fought hard to become a father and endured painful losses along the way. But once his twins arrived he learned about both the joys and the struggles of parenthood. He reflected on the last two years in an Instagram post in November before his children turned two years old.
“[When] the twins are about to turn two I naturally getting sentimental and nostalgic. Looking back at the two most amazing AND most difficult years of life and I feel so proud,” he shared.
“Twins is no easy task, it’s definitely double or triple the work but sometimes I think it’s four times the love,” he continued. “We really gave them all since the very start – and I always remind med myself I only have one shot at this. This is it! Every day, every kiss, every moment counts with them because that’s all they need – love. I can honestly look back and say I did the best I could ever have done.
“Now with their birthday coming up, they are strong, tall, and so sweet – but opinionated, talk a lot about a lot – and they are tough. They make us laugh a lot because they think they’ve got it all figured out. Milla orders me around, “Dada, C’mom, C’mon here, sit HERE!” I wonder who she gets it from 🤣. Yes, there were many times I felt like I was about to give up, or it was simply too intense and I would ask for help (which I’m bad at), but today I’m writing this as their taking their lunch nap, I know the best is yet to come. I thank God every day for giving us these angels. They truly are two miracles. I will never take any of it for granted.”
Eklund has a playful, childlike spirit
More children likely just means more fun for Eklund. He displayed his silly side before he became a father, but now he’s in a full embrace. He invited an actor to dress up like Elsa from Frozen to entertain his children. However, it appears that he was the one who enjoyed the performance the most.
As Elsa performs for the children, Eklund is seen in the back showing off his mad dance moves, which has Kaplan laughing while he films the moment. “Let it go 🤣,” Eklund wrote.
He also made his solo grocery shopping excursion an opportunity to dance. Eklund danced through the aisles at a local grocery store, wearing a mask, to The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights.” Some shoppers didn’t notice but others were seriously amused.
