Mindy From ‘Married at First Sight’ Calls Ex-Husband Zach an ‘Enigma’
Mindy Shiben from Married at First Sight still hasn’t figured out her ex-husband. The season 10 bride had a brief and rocky marriage to Zac Justice, a personal trainer. It’s been two years since their divorce, and Mindy has moved on and is living her best life. But Zach’s behavior, which appalled the show’s viewers at the time, is still a mystery to her.
Zach and Mindy had a rocky relationship on ‘Married at First Sight’
Zach and Mindy married after meeting for the first time at the altar in Married at First Sight Season 10. But their relationship was doomed from the start. Mindy, a figure-skating coach, was happy with her match – at least at first. Zach was less enthusiastic. He admitted to his wife that he wasn’t physically attracted to her and refused to move in with her after they returned from their honeymoon. Even worse, Zach started flirting with Mindy’s close friend Lindsay, whom he met at their wedding. That was the final straw for Mindy, who dumped Zach before Decision Day.
Unfortunately, Zach continued to make Mindy’s life difficult even after it was clear their marriage was over. At one point, she took to social media to complain that he wouldn’t sign the divorce papers. He claimed she was the one delaying the process. (The two eventually did make their split legal.)
Zach is an ‘enigma,’ Mindy says
While Mindy has moved on from her disastrous relationship with Zach, time has not made his behavior any clearer to her. In a recent Instagram post, she responded to some comments from her followers about her time on Married at First Sight.
“Mindy, I think you’re more beautiful than Zach. Not sure why he didn’t see that,” one person wrote.
“The guy is an enigma,” she replied.
“Mindy just watched the show,” another wrote. “You showed so much patience you deserve so much more and I hope every day you get more and more happiness especially after that! I felt like you didn’t get the chance to actually have the experience of what the show represents.”
“Definitely not the experience I signed up for, but it was… interesting haha,” Mindy replied.
Despite her bad experience, Mindy has said she doesn’t regret doing ‘Married at First Sight’
Mindy might not have had the Married at First Sight experience of her dreams, but she has said she doesn’t regret signing up for the Lifetime reality show.
“A lot of what happened on camera was out of my control. I don’t regret putting my whole heart into this and I can walk away from this experience knowing I gave it everything I could,” she said in a 2020 interview with SoapDirt. “I’m proud of myself for how I handled the challenges I was faced with.”
Mindy did say that she sometimes wondered “where I’d be now if I got matched with someone else.”
“I think I can be a wonderful partner to someone that is ready for commitment,” she said.
