Hulu has greenlit Kaling’s ‘Not Suitable for Work’ comedy
Kaling’s latest project has the greenlight from Hulu. According to Variety, the streamer has ordered the show, which is titled Not Suitable for Work, to series. Rejoice, Kaling fans because that means new content from the mind behind The Sex Lives of College Girls and Netflix’s Never Have I Ever, just to name a few.
Per the outlet, Not Suitable for Work was first reported to be in the works at Hulu in April 2024, albeit under a working title, Murray Hill. It found its way to Hulu in a “competitive situation with a script-to series commitment.” Kaling is the creator and executive producer of Not Suitable for Work.

As for the plot of Kaling’s new show, Not Suitable for Work “centers around five work-obsessed twenty-somethings striving for professional success,” per the official logline. “And, if they have time, personal happiness in Manhattan’s most glamorous neighborhood, Murray Hill.”
The series also marks a return of sorts for Kaling. She and Hulu have previously collaborated on a number of projects including The Mindy Project and the streamer’s series adaptation of Four Weddings and a Funeral.
