In early January, Netflix released the official trailer for Meghan Markle’s new lifestyle show, With Love, Meghan. The Duchess of Sussex had previously been involved in the lifestyle space before meeting Prince Harry, so it was only a matter of time until she woke up that passion once more.

Meghan’s new show will feature a number of celebrity guests, including Mindy Kaling. Kaling recently revealed what it was like when Meghan reached out and asked her to be a part of the new project.

Mindy Kaling reveals how she ended up as a guest on Meghan Markle’s Netflix show

Meghan is ready for 2025. The Duchess of Sussex made a high-profile Instagram return on January 1, and she already has more than one million followers. Shortly after the Instagram relaunch, Meghan also shared the trailer for her new show, which takes all things lifestyle (mostly with a food focus) and brings them into one space. Meghan is cooking, gardening, and spending time with friends in the show’s trailer. Mindy Kaling makes an appearance in the trailer, where she can be seen saying, “This is probably one of the most glamorous moments of my life.”

Speaking on the Golden Globes red carpet on January 5, Kaling gave a little more insight into how she ended up on Meghan’s show. “I was just in my maternity leave, and Meghan texted me and said, ‘Hey, do you want to be in my show and come to Montecito and have me cook for you?’, and I was like, ‘Yeah, that sounds perfect, I would love to do that,’” Kaling revealed. ” She unsurprisingly kind of blew me out of the water.”

Kaling also revealed that Prince Harry was present but wasn’t doing any of the cooking.

Meghan Markle’s new cooking show could be a good thing for the duchess

Meghan has struggled to rebuild her popularity ever since leaving the royal family, but part of that could be because the media has done all the talking. The duchess has laid low ever since she and Harry aired their grievances in a series of interviews about life in the royal family, which didn’t exactly put them in the best light.

Now, Meghan is ready to move forward, and the cooking show could be a chance for her to show the world what she is really like when she’s more in her comfort zone. Meghan previously ran a lifestyle blog called The Tig, where she enjoyed talking about food, travel, and friends, so jumping back into the lifestyle space might make her more relatable to fans. With Love, Meghan premieres on Netflix on January 15.
