Miranda Lambert’s Husband Brendan McLoughlin Retired and Works for Her
Miranda Lambert is one of the hottest female country music singers of our time. Her brutally honest and sassy lyrics are what have helped propel her musical career to the level that it is at today.
Although Lambert is known for singing songs that sometimes surprise her fans, nothing shocked her fans more than when she announced she had married a police officer from New York last year. Recently, her husband, Brendan McLoughlin, announced that he was leaving his job at the NYPD to pursue a career that will allow him to spend a lot more time with his wife.
How did Miranda Lambert and Brendan McLoughlin meet?
Lambert and McLoughlin first met when Lambert went on Good Morning America to perform a song with her musical group, Pistol Annies. The two first laid eyes on each other while McLoughlin was on duty and working around the GMA studio.
After their initial meeting, the pair sparked up a secret romance. They kept their relationship as quiet as possible. Then, after only dating for a few months, Lambert and McLoughlin tied the knot in a private ceremony.
Lambert was determined to keep her relationship with NYPD officer quite for as long as possible. But after officially being married for three weeks, she shocked her fans by announcing on Instagram that she had gotten married.
Brendan McLoughlin has a questionable past
Many of Lambert’s fans were left speechless when they heard that she and McLoughlin had been secretly married for almost a month. However, shortly after Lambert’s announcement, fans understood why she may have wanted to keep her new man a secret for as long as possible.
According to US Magazine, McLoughlin had recently been engaged to another woman and it had ended very badly. According to sources, shortly before meeting Lambert, McLoughlin was engaged to a professional soccer player. While his ex-fiance was out of the country, McLoughlin had not only cheated on her but had gotten the other woman pregnant.
His ex-fiance’s mother said that when it was discovered that he had impregnated another woman, McLoughlin became panicked and “begged” his ex-fiance to take him back and marry him. She refused and just three days after, McLoughlin met Lambert. The woman that he had been cheating with gave birth to their son.
Apparently, McLoughlin’s past infidelity didn’t bother Lambert. Every time she and McLoughlin are seen together, The House that Built Me singer seems to be head-over-heels in love with her new husband. She has also said that she loves being a stepmom.
“My stepson is amazing,” Lambert said in a recent interview. “I’m loving that whole phase, and I’ve raised a million dogs, so I feel like I got that part of my womanly/motherly thing is full, so this is a whole new journey. It’s great.”
Miranda Lambert’s husband has a new job
In July of last year, McLoughlin took an extended leave of absence from his job with the NYPD. Since then, he has frequently been spotted at most of Lambert’s concerts. He wasn’t just there to watch her perform though.
According to several eyewitnesses, McLoughlin has been working as part of Lambert’s security team and has been seen on numerous occasions checking fans’ bags at Lambert’s many concert and events and has been spotted with an earpiece and looked as if he was talking to other members of her security team. Now, US Magazine confirms that McLoughlin is officially retired from the New York Police Department and is working full-time for his wife.
Many fans assume that by McLoughlin heading up his wife’s security team, Lambert is able to feel much safer while she is out on the road.
