Where Is the Mom on ‘A Million Little Things’? Is Delilah Ever Coming Back?
Sophie Dixon (Lizzy Greene) needs her mom now more than ever in A Million Little Things Season 3. Delilah Dixon (Stephanie Szostak) left the series after episode 2. Sometimes the other characters mention her, but viewers haven’t seen Delilah in person since very early in the season.
Her daughter, Sophie, had a traumatic experience with her music instructor and flew to Europe to see her mom. However, Delilah still didn’t return. Why is it that Sophie could go to France and back, but her mom can’t in A Million Little Things Season 3? Fans are bewildered.

What happened to Sophie on ‘A Million Little Things’?
In A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 10, Sophie opened up to Regina Howard (Christina Moses), Gary Mendez (James Roday Rodriguez), and Maggie Bloom (Allison Miller) about what happened. While Peter (Andrew Leeds) helped Sophie prepare for her audition to MMI, he groomed her. The music instructor told her to bring a swimsuit and revealing clothing to wear while she practiced her song.
Things only got worse with Peter. In another scene, he unzipped his pants and touched himself in front of Sophie. Thinking she did something wrong, Sophie went home and tried to send revealing selfies to him. However, fearing he was going to get caught, Peter told her the texts were inappropriate. Thankfully, she told the whole story to Regina, Gary, and Maggie. Then Sophie called her mom in France to tell her what happened.
When Sophie returned from visiting her mom in A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 14, she found out that Peter’s previous student died by suicide. She suspects that he did the same thing to the last student.
Where is the mom on ‘A Million Little Things’?
Sophie’s mom, Delilah, left for France in A Million Little Things Season 3 Episode 3. She took her father, Lenny (Paul Guilfoyle), to Europe for a trip; however, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic hit while traveling. They finally secured a flight home, but then Lenny broke his hip. Delilah is stuck in France with her father while he recovers. She can’t leave him there alone, and he’s not able to travel home yet.
Is Delilah coming back on ‘A Million Little Things’?
The mom will return in A Million Little Things Season 4. Stephanie Szostak lives in New York with her husband and two sons. However, the show films in Vancouver, Canada. The actor updated her followers on Instagram with an explanation on April 21, 2021. She explained that she couldn’t go back and forth between filming and home because of quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic. She assured her fans that Delilah would return when A Million Little Things returns for season 4 in the fall.
