Mona Scott-Young Confirms David Adefeso Refused To Participate In Tamar Braxton’s Reality Show With Vincent Herbert
Now that Tamar Braxton’s new We TV spinoff Get Ya Life is airing, fans are drawing their own conclusions about her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, David Adefeso. Rumors of Adefeso’s controlling behavior are present, but viewers now believe the hype.
One of the rumors about Adefeso is that he refused to participate on the show if Braxton’s ex-husband Vincent Herbert was involved. Mona Scott-Young is now seemingly confirming the rumor.
David Adefeso reportedly refuses to participate in Tamar Braxton’s show with Vincent Herbert
Adefeso initially claimed that he and Herbert were close friends. Braxton alleged that Adefeso acted as a bonus father to her and Herbert’s 7-year-old son, Logan.
Despite such, once Braxton and Adefeso’s relationship began to unravel, rumors about Adefeso’s reported controlling behavior began surfacing. One of which is that Adefeso had issues with Herbert appearing on Braxton’s We TV spinoff.
According to a report by The Jasmine Brand, one of Braxton’s intentions for her show was to show her successful co-parenting relationship with Herbert, but Adefeso had issues with such.
“David shut it down,” the source alleges. “He didn’t want Vincent on the show at all. It’s almost like he was jealous and wanted to give the false impression that Vince was not around. He wanted it to look like he, Tamar and Logan were a happy family without Vince. Not true at all and it actually plays out on camera.”
Prior to Adefeso and Braxton’s breakup, Braxton fiercely defended Adefeso. She referred to him as her angel on earth and someone who showed up for her during her darkest of days. Braxton said that the press’ interpretation of Adefeso was wrong.
Mona Scott-Young seemingly confirms David Adefeso’s refusal to film show with Vincent Herbert
In the end, Braxton chose Adefeso. The issues Adefeso has with Braxton are currently airing on the show. In one scene, Herbert drops off he and Braxton’s son. Braxton and Herbert have a playful exchange, but he does not appear on camera.
A note from production appears on camera that explains Adefeso refuses to film if Herbert participates on the show. In another scene, Adefeso confronts Braxton about Herbert being in “his” home without his knowledge. It’s later revealed that the home is Braxton’s, but Adefeso insists that he and Braxton share space and she should be respectful of his wishes.
Braxton’s former employee and close friend questions one of the show’s executive producers, Mona Scott-Young, on Twitter regarding rumors of Adefeso’s refusal to participate in the show with Herbert. He simple asks: Did Adefeso’s contract outwardly say Herbert could not appear on the show?
Initially, Scott-Young takes the blanket approach, saying that if she has nothing nice to say, that she should not say anything at all. She later speaks a little clearer, seeming to confirm that Adefeso’s contract for the show implicitly states that he won’t participate if Herbert is part of the show.
“They say don’t believe everything you read but in this case….” she responds.
Get Ya Life airs every Thursday on We TV at 9 pm EST.
