‘Money Heist’ Fans Speculate Alicia Sierra Will Kill 1 Main Character in Vol. 2
As the Netflix crime series Money Heist (La Casa de Papel) comes to an end, many fans are curious to see how the story will end. In the previous installment, former police inspector Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) played a significant role in thwarting the Professor’s (Álvaro Morte) plans. But, fans speculate Alicia has more tricks up her sleeve for Money Heist Part 5 Vol. 2.
What happened to Alicia in ‘Money Heist’ Part 5 Vol. 1?
Former police inspector Alicia Sierra captured the Professor and the rest of his accomplices to clear her name. To recap, Tamayo (Fernando Cayo) held a press conference and called Sierra a co-conspirator in the money heist. Since then, she planned to apprehend the mastermind and give him to the government. However, her pregnancy thwarted her plans. Sierra’s water broke, and she asked the Professor to deliver the baby. Ultimately, she freed the Professor. Ever since their last encounter, the Professor’s whereabouts have been unknown.
Fans theorize Alicia Sierra will kill a prominent character in the last installment
Although Alicia Sierra shared a sentimental moment with the Professor and Lisbon after her baby was born, the former police officer might have an ulterior motive. Alicia walked into the bathroom and slid a pair of pliers up her sleeve. Fans began to theorize the reason behind her actions.
In a Reddit thread, one fan speculated Alicia might try to kill the Professor with the pliers. “She may attack the Professor or will use them to defend herself against someone.” In agreeance, another fan referenced the Professor’s face in the Money Heist Vol. 2 teaser.
In the first clip, the Professor comes out of hiding and travels to the Bank of Spain. While surrounded by law enforcement, he enters the building. When the Professor faces the crowd, fans may notice he has a cut on his cheek. The fan speculated that Alica might have cut the Professor with the pliers.
While this fan theory is quite compelling, the likelihood of it happening might be slim. To clarify, Alicia released the Professor instead of turning him into the government. So, Alicia killing the mastermind after releasing him seems odd. At the moment, the storyline for the last season remains under wraps. So, fans will have to wait and see what will happen in the final installment.
What should fans expect from ‘Money Heist’ Part 5 Vol. 2?
Money Heist fans are curious to see how the final installment will conclude the series. While the storyline has remained under wraps, Money Heist creator Álex Pina teased the final installment will focus more on the “emotional” aspect of the characters.
According to Digital Spy, Pina said in a statement, “We decided to work in an extremely aggressive genre, putting The Gang on the ropes. In volume 2, we focus more on the emotional situation of the characters. It is a journey across their sentimental map that connects us directly to their departure.”
Per Netflix, the official synopsis for Money Heist: Part 5 Vol. 2 reads, “The gang has been shut in the Bank of Spain for over 100 hours. They have managed to rescue Lisbon, but their darkest moment is upon them after losing one of their own. The Professor has been captured by Sierra and, for the first time, doesn’t have an escape plan. Just when it seems like nothing else could go wrong, an enemy comes on the scene that is much more powerful than any they’ve faced: the army. The end of the greatest heist in history is approaching, and what began as a robbery will turn into a war.”
