Netflix‘s Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area has fans excited as it is a remake of the famous Spanish Netflix series set in the Korean peninsula. The remake will not only adapt the riveting storyline but its leading characters. Fans already got a sneak peek at the Professor in a teaser trailer. Lee Kyu-ho will play the main cast role of Oslo in ‘Money Heist: Korea’

According to Soompi, actor Lee and the main cast were confirmed to star in Money Heist: Korea in April 2021. He will play the role of Oslo, originally played by actor Roberto García Ruiz. Lee has appeared in various K-dramas like The Uncanny Counter, The Good Detective, and The Fiery Priest.

The Money Heist: Korea actor also played the role of Mr.Goo in Dr. Romantic and Dr.Romantic 2.

Kim Ji-hoon stars a Helsinki in the K-drama’s main cast

Money Heist: Korea has two Kim Ji-hoon’s in its main cast. The actor born in 1979 will be playing the role of Helsinki.
Darko Perić played the character in the Spanish original. Fans got a sneak peek of Kim in his role in a still image released by Netflix.

Kim starred alongside Park Hae-soo in the crime K-drama Chimera as Jo Han-cheol. He also starred in The Good Detective as Byun Ji-Woong and Dr. Romantic. In 2017, he played the role of Investigator Lee Moon-Woo in Stranger.

Actor Lee Hyun-woo stars in ‘Money Heist: Korea’ as Rio

Lee is a singer and child actor who has established a well-known career. He plays the role of Rio, played by Miguel Herrán, in the K-drama remake. Money Heist: Korea will be Lee’s first TV role as part of the main cast since his discharge from the military in 2019.

The actor gained fame as Young Kim Yushin in Queen Seondeok in 2009. He played the role of Cha Eun-gyul in the comedy-romance To the Beautiful You. In 2017, he starred as Kang Han-gyul in The Liar and His Lover.

Jang Yoon-ju plays Alba Flores’s ‘Money Heist’ character Nairobi

Before becoming an actor, Jang is one of South Korea’s most prominent models after starting her career at 17-years-old. As part of the main cast of Money Heist: Korea, she will star as Nairobi. The majority of her career was made on TV in variety shows.

Besides being a host on multiple seasons of Korea’s Next Top Model, she starred as Miss Bong in the 2015 movie Veteran and Three Sisters. Money Heist: Korea will be Jang’s first role in a K-drama.

Kim Ji-hoon stars as Denver in the K-drama remake’s main cast

In the main cast for Money Heist: Korea, Kim (born in 1981) became a notable actor starring in romantic K-dramas. He starred in My Cute Guys, Goddess of Marriage, and Sweet Stranger and Me. The actor broke his romance mold as one of K-drama’s worst villains in Flower of Evil.

In the Netflix remake, he will star as the character Denver. Actor Jaime Lorente originally played the character in the Spanish original.

Lee Won-jong joins the main cast of ‘Money Heist: Korea’ as Moscow

The South Korean actor has had a long list of accolades since the beginning of his career in 1992. He plays Paco Tous’s role as Moscow. K-drama fans will recognize his role in the gender-bending drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal as Shaman Bak-soo.

As an actor, Lee has had roles in Vampire Prosecutor, Empress Ki, A Girl Who Sees Smells, The Guest, Possessed, and Delayed Justice.

Jeon Jong-seo will play the leading role as Tokyo

In 2018, Jeon gained immense fame starring in the psychological thriller movie Burning. The movie’s main actors include Hellbound’s Yoo Ah-in and The Walking Dead actor Steven Yeun. She then starred as Oh Young-sook in the Netflix thriller movie The Call.

Money Heist: Korea is Jeon’s first leading role in a K-drama. She will star as the fan-favorite character played by Úrsula Corberó, Tokyo.

Park Hae-soo will take on the main cast role as Berlin in ‘Money Heist: Korea’

Before the global success of Squid Game, Park was confirmed to star as Berlin in the K-drama remake of Money Heist. During an interview with the Squid Game main cast for The Swoon, Park revealed how his character would differ from the original played by Pedro Alonso.

After the K-drama by Hwang Dong-hyuk, he starred in the crime thriller Chimera. Park became a favorite actor among fans for his leading role in the Wise Life drama series, Prison Playbook.
