The most popular songs from Hamilton are, for the most part, included in the first half of the show, as well as being included in the Disney+ exclusive recording of the Broadway stage production.
‘My Shot’ has over 120 million plays on Spotify
With over two hours in this show and two acts, there are plenty of songs available for listening to on Spotify. One of the most popular songs in this production features the main character, Alexander Hamilton (Lin-Manuel Miranda,) and some of his closest friends. This is the song where they introduce themselves to the audience.
Although they might have humble beginnings, they’re not throwing away their shot, that’s for sure. “My Shot,” which predominantly features Lin-Manuel Miranda, has over 120 million plays on Spotify.
‘Satisfied’ has over 115 million plays on the streaming platform
Another popular song from the Hamilton soundtrack features Angelica Schuyler (Renée Elise Goldsberry) as the main performer. Since its premiere on Spotify, “Satisfied” earned well over a million plays, making it one of the most popular songs from the musical.
This song tells the story of the eldest Schuyler sister, Angelica Schuyler, and her version of what happened the night she met Hamilton. (Spoiler alert: it’s a much different story than how Eliza sees it.)

With over 140 million plays, the most popular song in this musical is the opening number, titled “Alexander Hamilton.” In this, fans are first introduced to the immigrant orphan, Alexander Hamilton, as he’s first starting out in school.
Fans learn about other characters in the musical, including George Washington who trusted him and Aaron Burr who shot him.
Other hits from the soundtrack with over 100 million plays include “The Schuyler Sisters” and “You’ll Be Back,” the latter being performed by Frozen’s actor, Jonathan Groff. Fans can see these songs performed live by the original cast thanks to a new release on Disney’s streaming platform, Disney+.
