The Most Powerful Jedi in ‘Star Wars’ Surprisingly Isn’t Luke Skywalker or Rey
Luke Skywalker brings Darth Vader back to the Light Side and Rey defeats the Sith Lord, Darth Sidious. However, there is one powerful Jedi behind a number of the other characters in the Star Wars Skywalker Saga.
Luke Skywalker brings balance to the force — temporarily
As one of the main characters in the Star Wars Skywalker Saga, Luke Skywalker is the son of the Chosen One, Anakin Skwalker. Anakin Skywalker eventually joins the Dark Side, becoming Darth Vader and tasking Luke Skywalker with ending the Sith.
This Jedi faces Darth Vader head-on, despite minimal training from Obi-Wan and Master Yoda. Albeit, he comes out with only one fan, but Luke Skywalker proves that he can, and will, bring balance to the force.
That’s exactly what happens during the final movie of the original trilogy, when he and Darth Vader destroy the Emperor and the Empire. Unfortunately, peace doesn’t last long. Luke Skywalker returns to the world of the Force by training a new Jedi — a scavenger named Rey.
Rey finally defeats Darth Sidious
With Darth Sidious back to bring the “Final Order” to the galaxy, it’s up to one scavenger to bring balance to the force. That scavenger is Rey from Jakku, who is trained by both Luke and Leia Skywalker.
Rey has a few impressive powers. Most prominently, she has the power to heal a serpent and a wounded Ben Solo. With the rest of the Jedis standing behind her, Rey overpowers the Sith Lord, Emperor Palpatine, proving her power and importance.
Master Yoda is 1 of the most powerful Jedis in the ‘Star Wars’ universe
There’s no denying the impact of characters like Rey, Anakin Skywalker, and Luke Skywalker on the force. There’s one character, though, who is often in the center of the Jedi Order, becoming a symbol of peace and Light.
This character was the Grand Master of the Jedi Order both before and during the Clone Wars, as seen during Star Wars: Attack of the Clones. Not only that, Master Yoda oversaw the teachings of powerful Jedis like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, and Luke Skywalker.
Master Yoda’s gone face to face with a number of Sith Lords, including Darth Sidious. After failing in his attempt to destroy the Emperor, he went into self-imposed exile on the planet Dagobah.
Thanks to Master Yoda’s guidance, Luke Skywalker would eventually turn Darth Vader to the Light Side. Thanks to Luke Skywalker’s guidance, Rey would eventually defeat Darth Sidious once and for all, bringing balance to the force.
