He’s become a key piece of the team’s success and was rewarded with a contract making him one of the highest-paid players in the league after signing a $304 million supermax deal with the Celtics.
Off the court, Brown likes to keep things private but his personal life did make headlines when multiple outlets reported that he is dating an older woman who actually has a grandchild. Brown and Burgos were first spotted dancing together in September 2022 at a New York City bar. Then, in February 2023, they were photographed getting cozy on a beach. When fans found out Burgos is a grandmother, they were curious about their age gap.
Brown was born on Oct. 24, 1996, in Atlanta Georgia. He attended Wheeler High School in Marietta, Georgia. After a standout high school career, he was a five-star recruit and enrolled in the University of California, Berkeley. He played with the Golden Bears for one year before declaring for the NBA Draft.
Burgos, meanwhile, was born on April 17, 1980, making her 16 years and six months older than the athlete.
Burgos has two daughters, Ashley Marie, who she welcomed when she was 15 years old, and Sarai. She became a grandmother in 2018 when Ashley welcomed her own child, India Ava Aisha. Despite already being a grandmother, Burgos doesn’t let that fact or her age define her and make her feel old.
“Being in your 30s, you’re not old yet, or even in your 40s,” she said in an interview with Madame Noire, before adding, “Get me when I’m in the 60s and you can talk about ‘Oooh, damn she looks good.'”
Burgos is a model and influencer with over 7 million followers on social media. She has appeared in music videos for artists like Rick Ross and DJ Khaled and in the TV shows True to the Game 2 and Wild ‘N Out.

Before Burgos, Brown was romanticly linked to singer H.E.R. He was also thought to be involved with U.K.-based model Suzie Micael after they were spotted together at his birthday party in London.
As for Burgos, she reportedly had a fling with Drake as the two were spotted embracing during a trip to Australia in 2017. The model later hinted that it wasn’t serious and she’s still on good terms with the “One Dance” rapper.
“He’s always been good to me and I’ve always been good to him,” she shared. “I will go to his wedding right now if he gets married. He’s surely going to invite me. Why not? I’m cool.”
