‘My Big Fat Fabulous Life’s Ashley Baynes: Everything You Need to Know About Whitney Thore’s Friend
The television series My Big Fat Fabulous Life seems to be all the rage, and it really doesn’t come as much of a surprise. The star of the TLC show, Whitney Thore, has an amazing personality, and her day-to-day experiences make her pretty relatable. She is all about living life to the fullest, no matter what, and millions of fans truly applaud her for that. Additionally, Thore seems to have a great support system, both on and off the show, including someone who has always been there for her. Let’s talk about Ashley Baynes and everything you need to know about Whitney Thore’s friend on My Big Fat Fabulous Life.
Ashley Baynes is one of Thore’s close friends on ‘My Big Fat Fabulous Life’
The two women are best friends, and they make no secret of it. But, who, exactly, is Ashley? As far as what she does for work, according to LinkedIn, Baynes works for the University of North Carolina at Greensboro as a business services coordinator.
She also has a boyfriend named Eric, who has never made an appearance on the show, and the two of them have a daughter, 3-year-old Hadley.
According to Thore, Baynes is “really thoughtful,” and there is no doubt that she is always there when needed since Thore goes on to say that she “always shows up.” Those are some pretty wonderful qualities to have in a friend, and naturally, Thore has always been there for her as well. In fact, she was present for the birth of Hadley, and in season 5 of My Big, Fat Fabulous Life, she helped Baynes pick out a wedding dress when she was planning her nuptials to her fiancé at the time, Chase Severino.
Ashley even helped Whitney with her business, No BS Active
Helping a friend with their business is truly what best friend goals are all about. Thore was running No BS Active, a fitness company that Baynes helped out with. However, as things grew, Thore had the opportunity to expand her business with an app, so naturally, she jumped at the chance.
Unfortunately though, the TLC star had to let her friend go, as a team would then handle all the back-end stuff, including the administration side — which Baynes had been doing up until that point. Baynes learned about this on camera, and although she got a little upset at first, everything worked out in the end, and the two are still as close as they always have been.
Whitney talked to Ashley and another friend about something huge
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a huge part of Thore’s life, and one of the most difficult aspects is the negative impact on a woman’s fertility. Thore longs to be a mom someday soon, and it was for this reason that she spoke to both Baynes and her friend Heather Sykes, asking if either would be willing to be her surrogate so that she can make her dream come true.
Ashley Baynes was not on board with the idea of her carrying Thore’s child, saying that she was “worried about the whole situation,” on My Big Fat Fabulous Life. Why isn’t she going along? Well, it turns out that Thore said it “wasn’t a big deal to carry the baby and give it away.” She even said that she would be willing to move away, taking the child with her after he or she was born. Sykes didn’t like this idea, and Baynes didn’t want her to carry Thore’s baby either. Since Baynes has a lot of influence, it looks like some problems could arise.
Things can get complicated between friends. Even with everything that has happened, Thore and Baynes support each other in every way that they can, it is wonderful that the TLC star has someone that she can always turn to.
