Mykelti Padron Claims She’s Moving to North Carolina to Get Away From the ‘Drama’
Mykelti Padron and Tony Padron are headed east. Last month, the Sister Wives stars announced they would be leaving their home in Salt Lake City, Utah, and setting down roots in North Carolina. Now, the couple is packed and will be headed out of town in the coming days. A job offer is the primary reason for the move, but the secondary reason has shocked some fans. Mykelti Padron said the move will help distance her from the “drama.”
Why are Tony and Mykelti Padron leaving Utah?
A job offer facilitated Mykelti and Tony Padron’s move to North Carolina. In a YouTube upload, Tony and Mykelti revealed they are moving to Charlotte, North Carolina. The move is thanks to Tony being offered a job at a chess instruction center. The job offer is a massive leap forward for Tony’s career, but the move has another big benefit, says Mykelti.
While Mykelti and Tony are moving for a job opportunity, the multi-state hop will serve another purpose. In her video, Mykelti said that the decision to leave Utah for North Carolina will help them distance themselves from the “drama” of family life. Mykelti, who inserted herself happily into the family drama just a few years ago, did not elaborate on what “drama” she and Tony are running from. Still, Sister Wives fans suspect it might have something to do with Kody and Robyn Brown.
Mykelti is one of just a few Brown siblings who maintains a relationship with her father and his fourth wife. She is the only one of Christine Brown’s children who has actively stated they have a relationship with Robyn Brown, although it is unclear where they stand at the moment.
Mykelti Padron says she always intended to move away from her extended family
Mykelti insists that the decision to move away from family isn’t completely unexpected. She didn’t initially anticipate living near family once she was married. In her upload, the mother of three claims she always intended to live away from most of her family. She said she wanted to do her own thing, but circumstances led them to serve as a “support system” for Christine Brown after she left Arizona and moved to Utah. Now that Christine is settled into married life, they are free to move on.
Before meeting her husband, Mykelti expressed an interest in living in Seattle. While the move will be taking them further from the West Coast, both seem happy with the decision. Atleast they are looking forward to the “greenery” of North Carolina. Mykelti will also be getting her wish of being far removed from the rest of the Brown family. While Maddie Brush and Janelle Brown are now living in North Carolina, they are about 4 hours from where Tony and Mykelti plan to settle. The long car ride will ensure the duo can do their own thing most of the time, but Sister Wives fans remain unconvinced that Mykelti will enjoy having no daily support with three young children.
