Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing Season 2 is coming to Max. Eventually.

Fans of the survival reality show have been wondering when – or if – new episodes will be available to watch without cable. The good news is that the show is coming to streaming. But the full season won’t be able to watch until after the season finale airs on Discovery Channel.

‘Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing’ Season 2 is coming to Max in September 2024

The second season of Last One Standing follows Naked and Afraid vets as they fight to complete a brutal 45-day challenge and win a $100,000 prize. The competition series premiered on July 14, and new episodes air every Sunday on Discovery Channel.

Unfortunately, Naked and Afraid fans who don’t have cable haven’t been able to watch the new season. Several have taken to social media to complain that season 2 isn’t available on either Max or discovery+.

Well, there’s some good news for those fans. Max has confirmed that Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing Season 2 will be available to stream starting Monday, Sept. 16. (Fans without cable who can’t wait to see what happens can also purchase episodes on Prime Video and Apple TV.)

The ‘Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing’ season finale airs Sept. 15

Max subscribers will be able to stream season 2 of Last One Standing the day after the season finale airs on Discovery. In the show’s Sept. 15 episode, viewers will learn which of the remaining survivalists will walk away with the grand prize, as well as the coveted title of “last one standing.”

Six of the original 14 contestants remain in the running heading into the second-to-last episode: Jeff Zausch, Gary Golding, Dan Link, Ky Furneaux, Patrick French, and Fernando Calderon. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess who might emerge victorious, especially because producers are likely to save some of the toughest challenges for the final stages of the competition.

“We’re all shedding blood, sweat, and tears for this thing,” Link wrote in a Sept. 4 Instagram update. “There are only two episodes left. Who are you betting on?”

Furneaux, who is the only woman remaining in the contest, says that she fully intends to win it all, despite being at a physical disadvantage.

“I’d be lying if I didn’t say my physicality was on my mind,” she wrote in a Sept. 2 Instagram post. “Standing amongst the 5 remaining men I was highly conscious of being smaller in stature, having arm muscles a third of their size and also being the second oldest person out there. Speed and strength were not on my side.

“Pushing forward, I would have to rely on skillset, resilience, smart decisions and endurance, microseconds of advantage compared to possible minutes of advantage,” she added. “I am determined to remind people it’s called Last ONE Standing. I’m hoping I have what it takes.”

Naked and Afraid: Last One Standing Season 2 airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Discovery Channel.
