Narcos: Mexico Season 3 is finally coming back to Netflix! Created and produced by Chris Brancato, Carlo Bernard, and Doug Miro, the crime series focuses on the Mexican illegal drug trade. What is the plot for ‘Narcos: Mexico’ Season 3?
Narcos: Mexico Season 3 will take place in the 1990s, where the globalization of the drug business starts to explode. The final season delves into the war that ignites after Félix Gallardo’s (Diego Luna) arrest.

In a recent episode of the Popternative podcast, Narcos: Mexico showrunner Carlo Bernard talked about the third and final season. During the discussion, Bernard shared what he hopes viewers will take away from the new season.
“I certainly hope that people feel the emotional connection to the ongoing tragedy of the drug trafficking business,” he explained. “It has cast a big shadow over society. That’s part of why we wanted to introduce different types of characters.”
Bernard continued, “[I hope to] keep people engaged but also have people feel how complex and important these issues are.”
