Jimmy Butler’s name has been in the news a lot lately amid rumors that the Miami Heat might trade the six-time NBA All-Star.

Adding fuel to the chatter is the fact that “Jimmy Buckets” sold his South Florida house for $8.3 million earlier in the year and now rents in the Sunshine State. However, there is an option to buy the massive mansion if Butler stays in Miami.

Here’s more on the luxurious home that cost him $70,000 a month, plus a tour inside his California residence and his favorite room that you have to see to believe.

The Miami mansion, located on the desirable Hibiscus Island, has 8,500 square feet of living space.

The “one-of-a-kind Mediterranean estate” boasts five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. It offers picturesque views of the Miami skyline and a private dock with a boat lift.

The property was last sold in 2021 for $21 million. Since then, it has been on the market both for sale and for lease, the owner was asking $95,000 a month for rent so it appears Butler got a discount at $70,000 instead. And if he’s thinking about buying it, the estate is listed at a cool $30 million.

Butler owns a property in Southern California and gave Architectural Digest a tour of that stunning residence.

Butler’s California abode is located in Poway, just outside San Diego. It spans 15,844 square feet over two floors with several bathrooms and bedrooms and there’s a private balcony off the main bedroom. The home is complete with a gourmet kitchen that has top-of-the-line appliances and a center island. Butler also has an entire coffee shop in his home called BIGFACE in honor of his lifestyle brand that launched in 2021.

Some of the other amenities include a gym, an infinity pool, a sand volleyball court, a spacious cabana, an outdoor kitchen, and a music room where he hosts karaoke nights with friends.

But the main attraction in the house is what he calls his “favorite area” and that’s the wine cellar.

The cellar features a curved hallway that leads into a larger collector’s room. That main part of the cellar boasts a chandelier and a sipping area.

The basketball player shared that he had around 6,100 bottles of wine but the cellar can hold up to 20,000 bottles. He also relayed a story about his first time drinking wine with Mark Wahlberg and how the actor introduced him to his now-favorite wine.

“In 2013, Mark Wahlberg was in town filming Transformers, and when we get to his trailer he’s like, ‘Hey, do you drink wine?’ I was like, ‘No,’ and then the dude next to me is like, ‘Yes you do. You don’t tell Mark Wahlberg that you don’t drink wine,’” Butler shared before adding, “[Wahlberg] popped a bottle of 2010 Sassicaia, and that’s probably the most collected wine that I have.”

Another bottle in his collection that Butler said he really enjoys is his 1973 Chateau Mouton Rothschild, which is a Bordeaux red blend.
