‘NCIS: Los Angeles’: Chris O’Donnell Cries When He Sees This Movie
Chris O’Donnell plays a tough guy on NCIS: Los Angeles alongside co-star LL Cool J. However, in real life, he can be quite warm and sentimental. O’Donnell says there’s one movie that can make him cry every time. Here’s what he revealed.
Chris O’Donnell and LL Cool J’s friendship
O’Donnell and LL Cool have been fighting crime on NCIS: Los Angeles since the show first aired in 2009. They’re not only friends onscreen, but also when the cameras stop rolling. O’Donnell often says they’re like brothers.
“It’s a brotherly thing where I’m as close with him as anybody I’ve ever worked with and he will always be a dear friend,” says O’Donnell during an interview with Rachael Ray.
“But at the same point, we can drive each other crazy,” continues O’Donnell. “It’s like with your siblings when you’re growing up and you’re just pestering each other nonstop, and it almost becomes the goal of the day. He puts up with me. He’s a good sport about it.”
Family comes first for Chris O’Donnell
Family is very important to O’Donnell. The father of five even turned down the lead role in Men in Black so he could spend more time with his family, according to Redbook.
During an interview with New York Live, the host asked O’Donnell how he balances his time between a demanding work schedule and his family. He said his wife and a good nanny helped him keep his life balanced. “I have a great wife, and we have a pretty good nanny situation,” replied O’Donnell. “It helps. We have to outsource at a certain point.”
Despite a hectic work life and a large family, O’Donnell finds time to relax. He told Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan he’s able to have some me time when his children go out. “When they’re all out doing something, [I get a quiet moment],” said O’Donnell. “And we have three dogs on top of it. It’s absolutely insane. But right now, my boys are playing a lot of golf.”
Chris O’Donnell cries when he sees this movie
Which movie makes O’Donnell cry? He told Rachael Ray he can’t help but cry when he watches It’s a Wonderful Life. “To this day, it’s always been my favorite movie, It’s a Wonderful Life,” says O’Donnell. He says he watches this show every Christmas eve. “And when he says, ‘This is to my big brother, George Bailey, the richest man in town,’ who doesn’t cry over that?” he asks.
What’s next for Chris O’Donnell
O’Donnell and LL Cool J are planning to host a dance show on CBS called Come Dance with Me. Dancers from around the country will compete alongside a family member who is not formally trained in dance. They will compete against other dance pairs with help from choreographers.
“We believe this concept is fun for the whole family, especially given the number of children we both have,” said LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell via Deadline.
“We reminisced about our kids’ dance lessons and how it would look if they had to teach us how to dance. What we noticed was, aside from the two-left-feet element, like most parents, no one wants to let their kids down. The show is about being creative, having a good time and bringing families together through dance. It’s a fun show with a big heart.”
