We were first introduced to Jack Sloane’s daughter, Faith Tolliver, during season 16, episode 19, which is titled “Perennial.” In that episode, the NCIS team responds to an active shooter at a naval hospital. Sloane’s daughter, who works as a doctor at the hospital, turns out to be a key witness to the shooting.

Things were tense between mother and daughter because Sloane gave Faith up for adoption many years ago. When they met, Faith let Sloane know she did not want to develop a relationship. “You made your choice. You don’t get to show up at my door now and pretend that you care,” Faith told Sloane. We’re curious to see why Faith is making another appearance and if she will give Sloane another chance.

In season 17, episode eight, titled “Musical Chairs,” the team must get to the bottom of a musician’s murder. The musician is a member of the Navy’s most elite band, which performs at diplomatic events around the world.

In the video teaser, we see a soldier’s body hanging out of the windshield of a truck. Palmer looks over at the truck and says he doesn’t think the man committed suicide. In another scene, a woman who is being questioned by McGee asks him, “Is this some kind of killer band society?” McGee responds by saying, “It sounds a lot worse when you say it out loud.” In an earlier scene, McGee says he thinks it was a murder. Since neither McGee nor Palmer believes a suicide was the cause of death, could band members be killing each other?
