Nene Leakes: ‘RHOA’ Season 13 Update as Star Posts Cryptic Twitter Messages
Nene Leakes from The Real Housewives of Atlanta has not revealed what her status is for season 13. The Bravo series has already started filming but the last OG of the reality series has not confirmed her comeback. As of late, Leakes has been posting cryptic messages on Twitter that give insight to the battle she’s facing. Is she returning or moving on?
What is going on with Nene Leakes?
The main question Leakes is asked by RHOA fans when she goes live social media is if she’s returning to the Bravo show. One her recent Instagram Live broadcast, the “tastiest peach” hinted that she was almost ready to talk about the situation.
“So it’s my time to speak out and speak my truth, so I’m going to do that,” she told her fans. “I’m going to do that with the support of a lot of people behind me that’s going to help with me speaking out. A lot of people have been asking me a lot of stuff, asking me about The Real Housewives of Atlanta every day on my social media.”
Leakes called out the reports that she had been fired from the show and assured fans that she would be speaking about the issue soon.
“There are so many false reports out there,” Leakes continued. “I have remained quiet, I haven’t said anything about it as of yet. It’s coming, I will be speaking soon.”
Is Nene Leakes spiraling?
After revealing she would talk about her Housewives future in the days ahead, Leakes took to Twitter to post some cryptic messages. The Fashion Police alum doesn’t name anyone but fans think that she’s spiraling.
“You see, there’s something wrong,” she tweeted. “You know something is wrong but you do nothing to stop it. Why? Do you lack empathy?”
“Have you ever worked with a sociopath who used you for their personal gain to achieve what they want for themselves?” she asked in another message.
“We cannot allow them to continue to pit us up against one another,” Leakes tweeted. “Tarnish our name, brands, and all we’ve worked for. This is common practice! They build you up, then tear you down.”
As fans try to decipher Leakes’s battle, Page Six is reporting that she is still negotiating with Bravo for RHOA Season 12. The publication mentioned that an insider told them that conversations were “still ongoing” with the reality TV star.
Kandi Burruss starts filming
One Housewives star that has already started filming for the new season is Kandi Burruss. The Grammy-award winner had been feuding with Leakes on social media earlier this year. During a recent interview, Burruss was asked about Leakes but claimed she didn’t know anything.
“I don’t know what Nene’s doing,” Burruss told Entertainment Tonight. “I just started taping, so I’m not sure who’s in and who’s out. They don’t let us know, normally. Typically the way it works is, in the beginning of taping we just see more [of] my own personal life and story and eventually you start trickling in scenes with other people.”
As RHOA Season 13 has begun production, it will be sooner rather than later when we’ll all now if Leakes will return or move on. Let us all remember that Leakes also had a late start in season 12. The Glee alum was still negotiating her contract even after filming had started and skipped the first three episodes.
